Karting - Yep, I'm interested.

Last time I raced at the Three Sisters was on a Triumph Bonneville in 1994....

OK boys and girls - time to get serious.

I am thinking that we do a

'Grand Prix +'

That is - 5 minutes practice

3 times 6 miutes heats/person.

An A and a B final - 7 minutes

ie the top drivers in the A final determined by the number of points you get in the heats.

In the heats you do standing starts and grid positions are - 1 you start near the front, 1 near the middle and 1 near the back.

There is an approx height limit of 6'4 or 5" and a size limit of 'will you squeeze in there mate?' please be realistic

The price is £50.

I will need a deposit of £10/person as soon as I get a firm date.

Ideally we should have 20-30 folk to make a good showing - but we need an absolute minimum of 10.

I have a few dates here - the nearest feasible being

Friday May 7th. (17.30)

You would need to get to the track by 17.30 AT THE VERY LATEST or we will run out of daylight.

Or

Bank Holiday Monday 31st May (16.30)

Suits/helmets/gloves are supplied (your own are welcome).

Which date do you want? I am looking to book this by next weekend so I need 15 definates (to allow for drop-outs) by Sat 26 March.

Name the date, people.

I only just found this, but I think either date is OK for me.

My excuse already is that I'm too fat for karting!

Hello everyone!

I need a bit more of a positive responce or this is going to slip away. A lot of you were quite interested early on but now we have to make it concrete.

Those two dates I posted up will go if I dont get it sorted pronto.

I'm not willing to put a deposit down on this and then lose the money from lack of interest.

Hi.

I'll introduce myself. I have a Lotus Elan and run NORLOG, a group of Lotus owners in the NW.

I'm currently looking for a 500 Griff, I think, so thats why I've ended up on your forum.

The reason that I'm posting on this thread is that I have the karting booked on the Bank Holiday of Monday 31st May at 12.30pm, which is why you can't have it until 4.30pm.

We are running the Endurance race (30 mins qualy and 2 hr race) and have already got 10 teams of Lotus drivers.

I was wondering if you would like to tag on with us as the circuit can easily handle up to 20 karts, and it would also take a bit of the pressure off you guys from having to find a minimum of 6 karts.

As mentioned, a kart costs £180 for the full event, so can be split into teams of either 2, 3 or 4.

If you fancy joining us, please let me know asap. It would be good fun getting Lotus vs TVR/others thing going and we could possibly organise it as a regular event.

I'm hoping to get to the TVR meeting at Blackpool next Wednesday to chat to a few of you about the pros and cons of TVR owning.

Cheers,

SOOTY
