Yep a few of the higher roads above Otley have quite sizeable drifts.

Might be a case of waiting for the big thaw!

It's taken four days to dig us out after the snow hit us last week. Easter weekend was full of a new breed of people, "drift groupies".

Some info:

Sunday 12th May

Meet between Skipton & Harrogate on A59 at 6.20am for a 6.30am departure.

Route will be c.90 miles, fast a/b roads and mountain twisties.

Finish around same area as start at around 9-9.30am.

There will be time for a quick coffee / bacon sanger / car fix in Hawes during the run.

I think best to try and limit numbers. Let's call it 8-10 for an easy to manage run.

Normal caveats apply - no s.

Ok, I'll review the route.

We'll aim to arrive back at near to Swinsty reservoir for about 9-9.15am.

It'll be a blooming early start but we should have some good open roads.

I would normally be up for it but I found a damaged toe link joint rubber before I went away last time. I don't want to tempt fate when I need to drive to Aberdeen the day after.

0630 is a bit late anyway in the summer. Would prefer to be moving by 6 and finished by 9.
