Anyway, s'all Adamski's fault, we were just trying to keep up with him as we didn't know the way...

We didn't see your spectacular driving but I do remember Adamski overtaking a shopping cart followed by an "oh feck, camera's" type comment. Sorry guys!!

Note to self... get the camera software loaded onto the sat nav for the next run.

We're thinking about heading down to Bruntingthorpe on the 21st March, anyone else going?

As for the next Yorks run, how about something like the 14th March? With a bit of luck the weather should be nice by then.

Hi Chim_Girl, nice meeting a fellow "Powder Blue" Tuscan owner .

I have been looking for a gadget that does both Sat Nav and warns about speed/"safety" cameras. What are you using?

I am also thinking of going to Brunters that weekend, as a spectator.

14th of March sounds like a good day for a run, I will see if we can get a few more of the North West region interested this time. .

Pictures from Sunday:

Woolley Services:

The Chim Girl / Adamski express resplendent in the winter sunshine....prior to scoffing in the face of BMW V12 power

Beautiful new T350, with proud owner mid performance of his favourite sea-shanty

The Huddersfield massive from back in the day - Al and JS........ in a word P.I.M.P

With the Leeds / Derby posse behind them, comprising of Mrs. Fish, Adamski, and Chim Girl (complete with half-mast trousers )

My frankly pathetic attempt to capture Rods T350T on the hoof using avantgarde camera technique

Nubbin trying to run me over at the pub just cos' I said the North Yorkshire tivvers were better than the South Yorks mob!

The filthy few left and the end of the day.....Dr. Bert and myself

I have an iPAQ with TomTom software, you can download a selection of 'tourist attractions' (I kid you not) and one of the options is for 'safety camera's!

Same here, too much of a wuss to have a go myself. Maybe next year.

Cool! Any idea's where to go? Burriana suggested the West Yorks lot should organise something, whatever we decide to do I suggest we try to book for us all to eat somewhere. Oh and maps, lots of maps

The North Yorkshire Moors around Malham has always been one of my favourites. Some really good roads, and of course stunning scenery. I think Gemini would agree.

For those of you that didn't hear or were not present, I’m taking on the job of IT manager at an all girls (public) school in Leeds. Now to be honest its a big step up for me only last year i was a computer technician (a little below me-but the market was dire), everyone i tell either laughs or doesn't say a word because their mouth has gone dry, and hit the floor.
+ Taking the Tuscan everyday, Its a tough job but someone's got to do it.
Thanks for the comment on the Tuscan its always nice to hear +ve comments from fellow pistonheaders

Martyn..being a fellow IT person..if you need an extra pair of hands (which you may need working in a all girls public school) give me a shout

Hello Dave

Glad you made it home safe, it just shows the wonders of a budget paperclip and yellow adhesive tape to get 5 litres of Blackpool's finest going again. Your chim is a proper minter BTW.

Its not me who is taking up the post of IT guru and heart throb at the girl's school, the lucky man is gr4eme (dark blue Tuscan).

Mod-wise kit is a good idea........especially for the summer time.

Nice to meet you, hope to meet again soon.

MOD.

Whoops, I had naturally assumed the good ideas came from the creative department not the management consultants. Sorry Simon

Since we all had a cracking day, I've a few ideas for a route closer to Bakewell area for later in the summer. Only fair to let West Yorks organise the next one as North and South have done one each now. Or, we could go a little bit further West and visit the other side of the Pennines..

So WYTVRCC, get yer thinking caps on. Oh, that'll be you Burriana!

If take M62 J24 onto the A640 by Huddersfield, that goes over the Pennines towards Oldham on a few miles of VERY fast road with great visibility (and no speed cameras this time )

Potentially a good photo shoot opportunity at the top, too (it would ruin the run a bit, though).

The early morning drive to the office suddenly became far more appealing.

I'm not sure what it's like at commuting times, but even my old 1.3 Peugeot 309 hit 110 down that stretch of road on a weekend. I'd definitely give it a shot from J24 -> J21.
