Apologies if it's already been posted, but there is a new speed camera on Telford Rd, it's near the shell garage/fire station. Think it went up Monday.

Has there not always been one there?

EDIT - I was thinking of the one nearer Maccy Ds - the firestation is so close to the roundabout, it seems an odd location.

the camera is after the fire station and before the entrance to the hospital for cars going up telford road towards the mcdonalds, the road is a 30mph limit, not many sit at 30
don't know if it is active yet as thought it had to have the white markings on the road which there are none.

No white lines on the road yet but it appears to be the real deal.

But thankfully the one that burned out on the A1 heading west from the Bankton roundabout is still out of action. That's 2 years now!

It's one of the nasty infrared ones which can catch you in both directions. I'll have to be careful as this is my main route to work, and that double lane each way bit is just luring you into speeding. Feels much more like a 40 limit area than a 30.

I wish I could tell my car, so the nice lady would stop chirping "Caution!" at me every time I approach it biggrin

Same for me, even though there are no lines and it doesn't appear to be turned on yet I'm being careful around it. No idea why it's limited to 30 there anyway.

Nasty, I used to work in Wester Shawfair and used to absolutely hammer down that road. I guess someone saw me

Nothing on the "safety" camera partnership's site about the millerhill one. In fact, this topic is the only relevant result when you Google it. Sneaky bds. It would be a shame if someone wrecked it, a true shame.

Freshly painted lines now on the road. Looks like it's one direction only and new style gatso rather than infrared. (IMHO)

As far as I am aware no gatsos are type approved for forward facing traffic.

the lines were on both sides of the road when I went down this morning. Does this type of camera make a flash?

New camera on the A701 at Milton Bridge. No lines on the road yet. Bit of a sneaky one as they moved the 30 limit up the hill and have put the camera close to where the limit used to start.

Does anyone know if this camera is still in operation? Was heading the opposite way towards out of Edinburgh
