Hello everyone! Have been stuck up far to late tonight reading this forum! Better introduce myself and this sections as good as another.

My Names Cai, I live in Anglesey at the moment. Used to live in Glyn Ceriog near Llangollen when I was younger. Thought I'd mention that seeing as I've read posts in this section from other people living in Weston Ryn, Chirk, etc. My old fella still lives in Oswestry.

I work as a 3D artist having graduated uni last year. I just about managed to buy a rare LHD VW Golf mk2 G60 Supercharged while I was student. I've always liked VW's and this is about the best I could have hoped for. I was going to sell it and get a mk4 1.8t but it would be shame to let such a rare car go.

Anyone else heard about that Ty Groes race track on Anglesey may be getting redeveloped into a world class race track?

Hi Cai,

Welcome to the madhouse.

Nice wheels! Why don't you bring them along to the next North Wales Sports Car Club meeting? And meet some other like minded folks. Its on the first Sunday of each month at the Sportsmans Arms on the Denbigh moors. See other post for details.

I hadn't heard about Ty Croes, should be interesting.

Did you know there is a track day at RAF Valley this Sunday 19th? I think its bikes in the morning and cars in the afternoon. £50 per car. I don't know if there is a charge to watch?

See you around.

Wee man.

Cheers Simon, I saw the other post but read Sports Cars and thought my car wouldn’t really fit the club. Not being a coupe. You really restore pinball machines for a living? How intersting!

Where did you hear about this track day ar RAF Valley? Is there going to be timing equipment there? Hope so I've got a stupid 4.25 final drive in my gearbox at the moment. (Don’t ask, made a mistake fitting) Makes for some 1/4 suited short gearing! I'm going to change it for something longer soon but wanted a 1/4 mile time set first. Could be my opportunity. ;-)

I've heard that Ty Croes have made an application to the Welsh Assembly to improve and expand there facilities. Said something about them being one of 12 tracks in the country with a certain licence and the aim was to attract major events.

The guys (and girls) at the club are just car mad. If you are then come see for yourself. Last month there was a Carrera, Nissan 350Z, Sonnet, and several TVR's. I can't make the next meet but there will be plenty others that will. Simon Cotton is the organiser nad he will post the details on this forum. But its pretty simple: 1pm Sportsman's Arms, first Sunday of the month.

I heard about Valley from a friend of a friend of a friend of a friend!! I don't think it has been widely pulicised.

Ty Croes seems to be doing well with teh TV companies lately? You can't watch Top Gear or 5th Gear without seeing someone hooning around Ty Croes or Trearddur Bay.
