Plenum Heater

I am going to take the plenum heater off and want to know what i do with the hoses. So at the moment one goes from the manifold to one of the unions of the heater and the other comes from the other one and goes to the expansion tank. So do i just run a hose from the manifold to the expansion tank?
Any pictures of how people havr done this would also be appreciated.
