Hi All
Another ‘new to Norfolk and seeking some local knowledge’ post so any recommendations welcomed.
Looking for someone to give the TVR a going over - guessing machine polish to remove swirl marks, polish and wax as not been done for a good while.
Many thanks in advance
John

I can recommend Boyd at BRCarDetailing, but he is based in Colchester.
Good luck.

John, why not come to my regular spring Detailing Day in April?
Darren will be posting the info pretty soon. It's a fun hands-on
day where we dare you to break a sweat wink

Steve

Thanks Pete - if I’m free that would be great. Not sure I’d trust myself with a machine polisher though but would be great to learn the basics so I don’t make more swirls!
I’ll look out for the date

In this neck of the woods we look at restoring a finish rather than abrading
it away. Modern Si02 or Silane based products are much better than their
"filler heavy" predecessors that often degrade below the wax or sealant
applied over them. There is a finite limit to abrading, especially on a car that
is considered a "keeper". There is also a lot of marketing hype surrounding
the restorative products, so we cut through that to the truth as well.

While my co-hosts do some machine work, the days are aimed at getting
the paint as clean as possible, using the gentlest methods possible and
obtaining results that produce almost orgasmic ooohs at just how smooth
the surface can feel. wink

Saturday 27th April is the Spring Day.

Regards,
Steve
