Replacing English Reg with NI Reg?

I have an English reg on my car which I'm not fond of, is there any way to be issued with an NI reg that I can transfer over to my car? And if so, how do I go about it and how much does it cost? If it's going to cost more than a couple of hundred I may be tempted to just buy a personalised reg in the "A1 AAA" format which is why I ask...

Is this a car you have just bought or something ?

Presumably you are living in Northern Ireland ?

Pretty sure all you need to do is call the DVLA and fill in some paperwork. Worst case there might be an £80 or so charge but it's possible it might be at no cost.
