Hi,

I had an Alloy on the TVR repaired by NuLuk. It was done perfectly and for some reason it's far easier to clean than the other one (brake dust doesn`t stick as much.)

http://www.nulukwheels.co.uk/ - along with terrible music..

Just phoned them, they want the car for 3 days ! Seems like they do a pretty thorough job, Ive just got a small amoount of damage though and was hoping to get a same day service. It doesn't help that I dont have a spare wheel !!

I suppose it depends on the car, I was able to remove the wheel from the car and leave it up there for them to work on..

I`m actually thinking of getting the (non-marked) front driver side re-done as its a pain to get the brake dust off compared to the new one.. and I hate cleaning alloys biggrin

If youre at all interested in DIY wheel refurbs, for kerbing damage its dead easy, some easy sand filler around the edge, shape it by running a knife around the edge of the rim, when its dry get stuck in with sand paper so its smooth, and then rattle cans of primer, paint and laquer to finish, dont even have to take the tyre off and the job is usually like new.

There is some guy advertising over on RMS recently, claiming he does mobile repairs/refurb.

He comes to you, and sorts them there and then.

Just posting for reference. I have no idea how good or bad the work is as Ive never seen the work before.

Only place I can comment on is Nuluk, who do a fantastic job, but obviously that does take longer.

+2 for Lester. I had a set of Speedline Safaris recon'd there over the summer, absolutely perfect and all 4 15"s refurb'd and reconditioned cost £211 which i was happy with.

highly recommended.

I've used Gordon at Alloy wheel repairs in Dundonald twice. Very professional job and you get the feeling that your car is being left in safe hands. Both times I left cars in they were back with me at the end of the day. Reasonable too.
