Red = Steve's P85+. Very quick for 2200kg car. He showed a clean pair of heels to a Ferrari 458 at Ruapuna, on the strip, with a 12.5 second quarter mile.
I drove a standard 85 and saw this Porsche off with a 13.7s.

The Porsche was in it's element in the short course sprints though.
Firstly I was trying not to wreck someone else's $100K car. Secondly a Targa race car against a 2 ton luxury sedan is not a real contest.
They are not a track car and I had difficulty on one very tight corner to get it to turn in.
The P85+ might have gone better as the P means performance and the + means sports suspension. But it did not do the sprints.
On the open road they are great. Smooth and quite. They do handle extremely well for such a big car, at highway speeds.

There must be a lot of weight in the batteries, I must google it to see what they weigh. I bet they've put a lot of work into getting them to handle well.
There's been a lot of nice metal rolling around Rangiora this week, mostly American. But I did see a very cool metallic burgundy-ish Fiat Topolino, and a bright orange McLaren 12c today.
