Please don't take this as a challenge, but I'm interested as to why you say 'there's no huge risk' in relation to the high temperatures you are currently experiencing in DFW. I am in N Atlanta and its not too big a deal here other than the usual suspects in the city itself screaming for more money tax the rich etc. Its turned extremely political as to how things should be handled based on local politics. Some parts of town require a mask and some don't. Some stores still closed especially if large chains worried about law suits but malls open. Some are wearing masks at supermarket (about 50%). We went out for the weekend driving around the NC mountains and stayed in a hotel up there by Lake Keowee, hotel was pretty busy. Went to brew pub for dinner and a few beers and everything was normal. Place was crowded but easy to stay 6ft apart outside. Going out tonight for dinner (sitting outside) to local restaurant. Its pretty easy where we are to stay away from crowded rooms etc. In my friend group and neighbors we are not worried at all about the virus. More worried about the furloughs, unemployment rate and mayor wanting to defund police.
I have also recently flown back here from UK and the flight was pretty full. We had to wear masks and also no alcohol which was the worse.............. I feel way safer here than back in UK in terms of exposure to the virus as its so easy to avoid public transport and plenty of space everywhere in the stores. I work at a large multi national and no one in office has tested positive after flights and all our Chinese locations back open. In UK and USA we are still working from home.
No doubt in my mind some UK media (BBC/Guardian) want to do all they can to make US look bad to meet their leftwing agenda.
