US Export - Tax Refund?

Does anyone have an experience of exporting a car from US to UK and how to get the sales tax refund? Im planning a trip for early next year and the sales tax will add 8% to the overall total and I would rather that not just go to Uncle Sam! any advice or tips would be great, I'll be buying from a dealer in California and exporting via Miami shipping port.
