G20 adding a windscreen

Is it possible to get a windscreen surround and cut into and graft on to a G20 scuttle? Just a thought, has it been done before?

There was a factory option for a full screen using a g33 screen. I expect the GOC might have the mould for it.

It didn’t look too pretty.

The Ginetta Owners club website gives me the feeling it’s 20 years out of date.
I had a TVR vixen for 15 years and quite a few moulds with different people were knocking about. Who has the moulds (and rights?) to G20’s etc.

The G20 junior coupe car had a G27 windscreen on. You could get hold of that bit of the moulding and graft the surround on.

The g33 screen is a G27 screen that had the corners cut off to aid access in the 33 as I understand it.

Both available from Pilkington classics I think.

just as info: we bought the last 4 glass screens from ginetta factory (b4 they would have went into the bin) last year for a g20 junior coupé.

are you really sure that they are the same as for a G27?...they look different imo....

Yep, 27 and 20 coupe are same screen.

It is the rake of the screen on the car that makes it look different, that and the screen was designed for the 27, but retrofitted to the G20 coupe hence the funny shaped fillet bit beneath the screen on the g20 coupe.

Maybe the G12 and the G27 windscreen are the same. They look very similar ... or identical in the pictures.

Can somebody confirm ?

I'm pretty sure the G20 had to have a full screen for type approval in the USA, so somebody must make the glass...

Buy a G27! Mine is for sale with a hard top and hood!
The screens are not the same as the G16/G33/G20 screen which have the corners cut off. The club do have a lot of moulds for members to have parts commissioned. H

I already have the G27 ... it’s just the windscreen I am looking for.

Can somebody say if the G12 and G27 windscreens are the same ? From the pictures I am pretty sure they are. But I need someone to confirm.

I need a new windscreen so any usefull information is very welcome ... and no I won’t but a complete car.

Do someone know if the G27 / G20 Coupe and G12 windscreen are the same ?

It seems Pilkington Classics offer the G12 windscreen but they say they do not sell the G27 windscreen.

Do someone know where I can find a G27 windscreen ?

G33 screen with corners cut off is the thing I hated about my G33. You dont get the protection you need as the wind whips around the corner straight into your right eye and right ear.
