Hello from Wisconsin, USA
Just agreed to purchase a 2003 G20 US version with MX-5 drive train. Finding info on this car has been challenging and there seems to be no North American owners group. Are there any Ginetta owners out there- particularly in the upper midwest? Seems like a really interesting marque and I'm looking forward to learning more about it.
Thanks
Brad

Hi Mike
Based on your screen name I'm guessing you are also a TVR guy. I have a 79 Taimar and am an organizer of the Chicago/ Milwaukee TVR group. They are certainly another great British car.

Tell me about your G20. US road version with Mazda drive train? How long have you owned it? Any mods? What should I be looking for when my car arrives? Any documentation like owners manual, import papers, production numbers etc.? Are you aware of any other owners? Is there any interest in a US owners group? I'm sure I'll have more questions in the future.
Thanks for responding to my post.

Hi Brad,

I took the G20 as part trade when I decided to get rid of my 65 Griffith 200. It is the standard US trim with Mazda power. There should be some shots of it posted here somewhere. I installed a supercharger. Modified the tail section so that it opens. That's about it. Fun car on the road or track. There was another one in southern Ca, but the owner passed away. Not sure where the car went.

Hi Mike
Which supercharger did you install? How much difference did it make?

The vendor did some one-off mods for me to make it fit. I also had to do some mods on the car. Gave me 70hp more at the rear wheel. I'm wondering if it would have been easier to upgrade to a 2.5 liter, but the supercharger has lots of cool factor.

Hi Talladega, I have a Dare/Ginetta G4.

Awesome car--not for introverts!

I put about 1,000 miles a year on it.

If you have plans at Road America, let's meet!

Hello
My plans are to attend at least one or two days of all three vintage events and maybe one day of June Sprints. Usually I go Fridays because its more laid back and easier to check out all the cars in the paddock.
There is also a British car show in Sussex, WI on fathers day. I usually go with my TVR group but having two Ginettas there would be spectacular.

Hi jpf
Email me your contact info and I'll include you on our TVR group contacts. That way you'll be in the loop for our upcoming activities. We just had our winter get together and we do a couple British car shows and at least a few of us attend events at Road America. Nice bunch of guys and everyone will enjoy seeing your Ginetta.

Hi
Likely for Saturday of June Sprints June 15th. I have a drag racing event at Union Grove on the 14th and British Car Field Days on the 16th but hoping to make the 15th.

Will definitely make the 19th or 20th for the July vintage cars.

Possibly one day of IMSA showcase August 1-4.

Definitely a couple days of fall vintage September 13-15.

Lets stay in touch.

Will be there for the IMSA event--taking the Chevy SS as my sons join me for that event.

Will try for the Redman!

Hello
Thanks for your interest. I did get license and title. Had to go with Hobbyist classification and title says 1994 Mazda based on the engine but at least it can legally be driven.
