A few snaps I have of a G15 chassis I made some years ago. Back end modified to help engine removal, and made with various square tube parts rather than sheet materials as the originals had.

Here are a few pic's of my G27 series 4 which I purchased in August.
Spent time correcting things and a light recommissioning due to lack of use. Then setting up the suspension and steering geometry and just generally getting the car to a place I want it to be.

Very nice! I've been hunting for a G27 again (having owned one some 15 years ago, but Series 3), for some time. Whereabouts did you find it, to purchase?

Good choice in music as well!!

The ad was placed on the GOC website only. I was tempted but put off calling about it, in the end I caved in and a few phone calls later a price was agreed.
I'm glad I bought it now, it's a great fun car.
The sound system was one of my additions to the car once I had made it civilised enough to hear it smile

Looks in great condition, what year was it made?

The kit was purchased from Ginetta in 2002 and took 3 years before it's registration.
Much of the running gear came from a 1986 Sierra Sapphire (hence the 1986 reg carried by the G27) with Ginetta supplying a period 1800cc Zetec engine, pre cat and running on twin 40DCOE's.
It had only covered just over 2000 miles when I bought it, which suprised me, until I drove it. With all four wheels pointing in different directions and Chinese tyres it was nothing short of lethal, so the need to fully set it all up before further use was priority.
It's rather tasty now smile

A couple of pinched pictures from the Lotus Elan Facebook page. Copied to here with original posters permission.

And some more vintage pictures...

I particularly like how mean this one looks, although I do question quite how it would have driven on the road with tyres that wide and that much offset! Probably no LSD... maybe a bit 'hoppy'?

A big gratuitous plug for the Ginetta Owners Club, as it was there that I found this G27, its currently in a container waiting shipment to Australia, should get here by the end of March April.
And yes it is the car in the brochure.
