To stop us all getting bored to death. Better yet, will someone please revive the story of the Al Melling Wildcat, and tell us what happened to it, and the designer himself ?

what about this new car, the JANNARELLY DESIGN-1 =790kg en 300+ hp oke, its more pure and small etc, but not bad, also the price so it seems, could also be a fun car, although its perhaps more like a caterham-ish ?

That looks like an update of a Cobra Daytona. Very appealing.

Looks very nice. bow

Thank god there are still some proper designers out there knowing there stuff
or at least where to steal it biggrin
But car seems to be very tiny.

Shows even more what a mess the Griff design is.

I like the Jannarelly. Sort of a modern Caterham 21, and a good design.. very light as well.. chances of it making it to the UK?

Really like the mix of Cobra, Ferrari and Jag.

This article( German ) says it's built according to british small series specifications (whatever that means). Article says it might even be road legal in Germany due to the EU law that accepts such local approvals. But i guess Brexit will kill that law and any chance for the German market.Prices are 75K EUR.

Short video here, but boy, it's small and you don't want to be involved in any kind of accident with it:

Looks like they got the seating position very wrong - steering wheel is low, is touching the thighs of the driver, and overall seems redolent of an MGF only worse.

Otherwise looks glorious - that size makes it all the more attractive if you ask me.

It's cool no doubt, although after looking at it for a while i start seeing a few design cues i don't like. The Griff is a more stringent car. Power to weight wise, they're similar, btw.

I don't get their marketing model though. It's somehow (or can be made) road-legal in the UK, but rest of Europe is off due to Brexit. They want to build 300 per year and i'm not sure if they already sold some (as in driving around somewhere). What i read is, is that there are still a few of the Launch Edition (30 cars) available, which is not a good sign imo. Most of the articles seem to be from 2016 with a few updates from 17/18/19, but no really big news (seems to be a common problem!).

So lets see where that one goes. Basically a car i could warm up to.

edit:

Just seen a video from Feb 2019 from Jannarelly official. It says car is available and exclusively limited to 200 cars.

Top Gear not a fan of the V8V front end. Be interesting what they think of the Griffith front when the time arrives.

smile if you get a link from the web, you just type this and ready, you can check or test it when you press on preview before you post, or you just want to try things.

A little gem of a thing but a lot of people would need one seat for each buttock.

This was posted on the Club site 27 October 2018.

"Additionally, the works to complete the smaller training, test and prototype build facility are well under way, and Blaenau Gwent local council have now given us a completion / handover date for this facility of March 2019. It remains an option to complete customer builds in this facility should there be any delays to the main factory programme, although we have no reason to believe that that should prove to be the case."

It seems certain the big factory is not going to be ready any time soon. So this is a way to start production for the next 6-12 months, I'd have thought? Come on TVR, get your finger out. Forget the factory for 6 months and start to keep your loyal (and dwindling) fan base happy.
There. That wasn't so hard, was it?

P.S. Forget the biscuits, there's a nutter out there.....
