I'm on the fancy Dave Mac driveshafts
I am down to 1.51 to 60 foot, 0-60 in under 3 seconds and mine are still intact.I’ve just had a peek at the quarter mile times.
Brummie’s time 1.57
Derek’s time 1.59
Mine 1.65
How close is that!

Only 1.65 to 60 foot for me on standard later shouldered shafts. They must be strong and definitely stronger than the earlier cars with the circlips on the shafts.

A good launch for a road car on street tyres would be under 2.0 seconds to 60 foot.I’ve just had a peek at the quarter mile times.

Better rubber, lighter cars, technique can see a couple tenths drop towards 1.7's and take 1/2 a second off the ET.
Drag radials warmed up should provide all the grip you ever need but if you don't commit then you could bog down, maybe have clutch slip or worst case snap a weak point in the drivetrain ie usually a driveshaft for most TVR's. Gearboxes stand up well as do the diffs but head towards 600 bhp and you are risking some expensive damage.
To get into 1.5's takes practice, commitment and trust in the car.
1.4's will take suspension tweaks and I reckon that's when we will see the first TVR wheelie
