And the TVR Faceache page said there will be a big announcement at the end of March - "watch this space" then went very quite and has remained so. They really are doing themselves no good at all with their "PR".

Debate about what else you could spend £90k on
Debate about whether it'll ever see the light of day

How was that for a climax to Volume 1? smile
Perhaps the Nikolay Smolinsky erea wasn't so bad? he had some great ideas to put V8 in the later models etc, wonder what would he think about how its going since he sold it.

On 27 July 2004 Smolensky, claiming Greek/British citizenship, bought British carmaker TVR. He also has connections with Italian motorbike manufacturer Benelli.

In June 2013, it was confirmed that Nikolay Smolensky had sold his entire ownership of TVR to a syndicate of British Businessmen led by Les Edgar, a millionaire British entrepreneur.

One of the Cascade Indigo cars isn’t a Sag so that’s one eliminated. It’s a Tam that’s been messed on with; a real shame that some owners seem to want to chop them up.

I recall the TVR stories being placed (usually drunkenly) into in the lyrics of popular songs...

One christmassy one suggested 'Les would return after 10,000 posts in that forum'. wink

The mods shut it down at 9,991 posts! Therefore this is all the mods fault wink

So, does that make it certain that Nikolay Smolensky is definitely in no way involved or connected with the new TVR set up or name/brand ?

Sorry to ask again, but this rumour of his 'attachment' still occasionally surfaces. getmecoat

I'm sure even Smolensky is embarrassed to have his name remotely connected to this shambles.

He was given a lot of bad press at the time but compared to what is happening now you start to see his genuine attempts to take on the what was then an almost bankrupt TVR and turn it around in a different light.

The TVR name should have been gracefully laid to rest then rather than be tarnished by the current debacle.

The current team are not fit to be in ownership of such an iconic brand, IMO smile

It wasn't even the brand Les Edgar wanted, that name wasn't available. TVR was plan B.
