There was a video on youtube showing someone using a ball from a ball bearing and a vice to crimp battery cable eyelet terminals
Will post it here if I find it

Anyway, a ball from a ball bearing could be taped onto the terminal, cable inserted into the terminal, placed in vice and ball squeezed into the terminal for crimping

PH member SturdyHSV https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&... found out about the magic gel

Like yourself. I must order some for next time an underground mains cable joint trips its breaker

Does any one know what the connector is on the electric PAS pump or specifically the female one would be of great use?

Electric Turbo = Heaven

2 to 4 minutes boost, allow time for power pack recharge and boost again, easy to fit and wire

Proof of it working is in the YT videos

View Torqamp Video Channel https://www.youtube.com/c/TorqAmp/videos

These following videos are good fun, the first video shows the use of two electric turbos

Pen, on your way through looking at the products, did you see if they sell battery terminals (the post type for Bosch S4 027) that can by crimped? I've got the crappy ones that 2 screws hold the cable in place and they're not too clever.

Have never crimped battery terminals, always use the screw type, I grab the cable with the screws and then use a blow torch to heat up and solder, fully filled with solder, takes practice though and the insulation does melt a little

These may be of some use to you https://www.12voltplanet.co.uk/battery-terminal-cl...

Cheers

This thread needs to be a sticky - like the Cerbera alternative parts one.

Mods - something you can do?

Glad things were sorted out for you Byker28i

Is it ok for me to post your images and method used as proof of oxidised cable cleaning here ?
