I realise I am in the small minority but if I saw that parked up on the street I would go wow!

I don't even mind the headlamps.

But they need to think ahead about electric power IF it ever gets off the ground, not a gas guzzling V8 as it would have a shelf life of a few years. (I'm a huge fan of the glorious V8 burble btw.)
Good to hear, i thought i was the only one.

Did you check the video i posted a few days ago ?

If nothing else at least we got a glimpse into what could've been, shame they didn't make it a pearlescent though

Why do you want pictures of a big empty shed that might, or might not, now be watertight?

I went wow as well the first time I saw it.

Wow, how could they have got that so wrong? It's as ugly as sin, whichever angle you take it from.

This will be one of those cars that appears in one of those lists in a decade or two's time that has pictures of cars you forgot about, saying something like "...and only one concept car was ever produced; it never made it into production...".

I have to say I am on the side of those who love the new Griffith!! It manages to look sleek and yet muscular and is a far better resolved and less fussy design than Toyota's Supra. It might not be an utter out and out design classic like the 92 Griff or 93 Cerbera but it's a very beautiful, unique and fast car. It's also the first TVR you could sensibly live with everyday in all weathers because it should be better engineered than all its predecessors.

I also don't buy the argument that it's too late for ICE - Lotus, Gordon Murray design, Mclaren, Porsche have all launched new petrol powered cars in the past year and I see no reason why TVR can't!! We've got 9 years until the UK bans the sale of petrol vehicles which is longer than many car lifecycles including the Chimaera, Cerbera etc!!

Sure the front grille is a bit 'smiley' and the interior needs more work but I think what's holding up the car isn't the design or production engineering but the money!! So does anybody who works in the financial markets have an update on the bond issue??? That's the only thing that matters now!!

Less fussy than the supra. Less ugly than the elephant man.
It’s a failure on every level.
It’s a start up and so the ICE argument / compare to Lotus is nonsense. An established manufacturer is leagues ahead of a co without a track record, without the management capability, without a factory, without staff, without assets and also skint.
I work for an investments company that has multi billions of investments including bonds. They won’t be buying such ‘junk’.
Its fascinating that anyone finds this car attractive to look at. But then again some people like Nissan Jukes.

Lotus, McLaren Porsche are all established manufacturers currently producing cars.

Remind me again, when and where can I buy this Gordon Murray car, and how much is it?

It will never see the light of day any more than the TVR will. And no new start up business on the scale that TVR needs to be is going to invest in a nine year life span.

No I still like the car, but times definitely running out on it now with the ICE engine. I wonder if it they get going and sell this, if the next could be based on Fords e-technology, like maybe the Mach-E?

The bits I didn't like were parts of the interior. There's a panel to the right of the steering wheel that filled in the remains of the console that just looked like a flat panel fill in, almost an after thought that didn't seem to fit the rest, as as mentioned, the Nav screen in the middle now is really small and would need updating to a larger spec to match current cars.

In other words, just what no one wants in the UK anymore, and I would question the vfm. It is more expensive than a Lotus Emira. It's Porsche 911 priced!

What you have described is what an American would call a muscle car. Some Americans still want a muscle car, hence the Camaro or Mustang, but they wouldn't pay Griffith prices.
True up to a point. All TVR’s are muscle cars of sorts. Light cars with big engines, loud exhausts and a “look at me” attitude.

Nothing wrong with that. American muscle cars are different generally by size. TVR’s are relatively small by comparison. I marked my garage floor where i used to put my Chim before lifting it on my two post lift to get the right position. When I did the same with my daughters Nissan Micra of 2006 vintage a few years ago, the Micra had a 6 inch longer wheelbase! By comparison, my friends original Dodge Charger barely fits in the garage!

Nothing wrong with Surrey! wink

I didn’t see that video earlier, it has reminded me what a great looking car it is. As someone said, it looks better in the flesh then just in photographs. One of the better things about it is it isn’t that big, quite small really and in the vein of past TVR’s. Quite said it couldn’t be built.

Unless your order has been accepted, the answer to you question is, you are too late. All 100 are sold. Price $2.1 million.

A special market niche seems to have become established in the sports car world. 'New' TVR did not attempt to be part of that niche, but want to be in the more competitive, much harder to find customers segment.

Very high priced limited run sports cars, which collectors desire and where orders are taken often before the public launch.
The launch announcement is usually accompanied by the statement saying, already oversubscribed. The deposits required are not at TVR £5,000 level, but often £500,000.
Aston Martin Valkyrie; Mercedes-AMG Project One; Koenigsegg Jesko; Glickenhaus SCG 007 Le Mans; Lotus Evija etc.

Unless GMA have repainted their original development car, then at least they have already built more then one T50.
