I can’t see the point in asking who in that group of owners has/had deposits down.
What difference does it make? It’s not like having a deposit down will result in you getting the car any sooner.
Edited for accuracy.

Ginetta look like they are thriving. Interesting photos, and the blue metallic G56 (?) looks like a stunning car for the road. No doubt someone will be along soon to report how much money Ginetta is losing ...

Seeing as you asked.....

They haven't filed their March 2023 accounts yet, but here's a summary from March 2022's.

They are gradually seeing the returns on their investment in race series, I think, but have a fair way to go to be profitable.
They raise share capital and are backed by their other group activites, some of which are in care homes.

I much prefer the more cheerful agricultural discussion rolleyes
But good for Ginetta - I reckon that Tomlinson bloke knows what he's doing.

While Bacon has been busy in his greenhouse, I've been trying to find out if TVR do actually occupy the 'proposed' TVR factory following Edgar's assertion they do despite his claim the building needs remedial works. Previously, asking the local council has not been a problem and it was they who said TVR did not have another building nearby which Edgar claimed they were going to lease. Instead the council gave TVR a one room office in a former colliery headquarters. And gave is the right word, they let TVR have it rent free.

So asking the same council about the factory and they have gone all shy now. They claim telling me the date TVR occupied the factory from will divulge details of the occupiers (yes, really) and the email is an attempt to use their FOI response to make me go away. Now I wonder why they are suddenly so shy? Could it possibly be that once again, the council is allowing TVR a freebie - not charging business rates? No, no I must be completely wrong. I can't imagine the other businesses on the Rassau Estate would be delighted to know that one of their neighbours is being given preferential treatment. No, that definitely cannot be the case......

I've been saving my largest marrow for the competition smile ... I guess it's woody and totally inedible now... I'll chop it off tomorrow , photo and weigh it ... then toss it on the compost heap. Although I did have stuffed marrow on Monday ... Tuesday and Wednesday now in the bin smile thank God.
I copied you and planted 3 "warm" (definitely not "HOT") chilli plants in my greenhouse and they've taken over !!! Photos again tomorrow ... But today I started clearing Greenhouse , I needed to store my "natural stonewall " somewhere ... over estimated the number of blocks I needed smile.
Now on with my latest project 3D printing TVR parts smile .... such fun .

You’d have to agree with the council that any business between them and TVR is confidential until it becomes public,, over to Tvr then!
I’m sure they are about as sick of these questions as Tvr are. Your only badgering them because TVR fail to answer these questions for you.
Why dig in the wrong place or is it so you can cause a storm over the councils handling of this affair! Not sure what purpose that would serve.
Your questions should surely be put to Tvr but they are non active so you can’t! Or they won’t answer you.
It’s futile and suggests you are just after blaming anyone or council rather than simply focusing on the reality and that’s TVR failed to find anyone passionate about the car and want to finance building it.
The building is such a small part in the scale of the operation required to build just 500 deposit holders cars let alone many more it’s always been a red herring, diversionary as without serious backing nothing was ever going to be built anywhere so it seems to me your enquires are somewhat pointless.
Can you elaborate on your thinking so I can “ get over it” thumbup
Or are you just bored biggrin

There is only one person who knows the truth behind the ‘new TVR’ story. Why it was begun, where it is now, and if it has any future… and he’s not sharing… you can analyse info available in the public domain all you like, but to use a football saying ‘at the end of the day’ (and I don’t watch football) nobody on this forum knows the truth. No one… and it doesn’t matter a jot what anyone here might think, what you’re opinions are, or what you think should or might happen next, you don’t own the company, somebody else does, so your thoughts, observations, and opinions are completely meaningless… anywhere beyond the confines of this thread, which is in a small corner of a sub forum on a petrol head web site which has a dubious following of mainly BMW and Audi fanboys. FFS.

Rant over….

Ok, here goes. Way back in time, 2013, Edgar bought the rights blah blah blah. I took an interest in what was happening having never been a TVR fan. Once the new car was announced I got as excited as others because I had by then bought my first TVR, a Cerb 4.2 with 60,000 miles on it, which needed saving. Whether it was the smell of the UHU glue or the exhaust fumes, I got hooked on the test drive.

Once I had done all I could with it, I sold it then bought the Chim that you have seen and spent a fortune on it. So I was well and truly in the TVR camp. However, seeing the new car photos, I was seriously underwhelmed and at that time eventually sold the Chim. Soon though I wanted a Tuscan but after a disastrous test drive - unable to open the fuel cover and it was on empty - and the dealer's refusal to let me see if the engine had been rebuilt (28,000 miles on it), I walked away.

By now it was clear that the rebirth was not going to happen any time soon and all the promises and claims by Edgar were starting to piss me off. In my opinion he was treating TVR fans like idiots. Here we are 10 years on with nothing to show for it all. No press releases, nothing and the TVR Parts fiasco is ridiculous.

Anyway, my brother-in-law comes from a town just a few miles from the factory. This is an area that is in the most deprived part of Wales with no hope and no future where generations never work. He used to go out rabbiting as they could not afford food on some days each week: this is not an exaggeration. To escape this life he joined the army and one brother eventually moved to South Africa. The rest still live in the family home.

As you know, there have been many promises of investment in this area, notably the Circuit of Wales with its fraudulent claims of hundreds and hundreds of jobs (all lies), an automotive sector which Aston have joined at St Athan some 40 miles away but Ineos pulled out so the only car company now is TVR. The Welsh Govt has been seduced by TVR and bought a 3% stake for £500,000 and loaned them £2m over 5 years (which TVR failed to repay on time asking for a 3 year extension but getting just 6 months). Throughout, TVR has not had the money to proceed to production and even had the nerve to obtain a CBILS loan during Covid for £2m despite the company secretaries saying that Covid had not impacted on the company as they had no factory, no workforce and no product (in the accounts). They got the loan because Edgar said Covid had caused delays. Who do you believe? So the taxpayer paid for the arrangement fee and the first year's interest. And what did they do with the £2m? Paid off an outstanding loan the same day.

As has been said many times on here now, the factory cost the taxpayer £5.7m (inc vat) and then £6.2m to renovate it (Senedd written questions). It was completed in July last year but remains empty with Edgar claiming it needs remedial works. The Govt say it is complete and ready for occupation. Who do you believe? So, to try and determine what the situation really is, I submitted a FOI request to Blaenau Gwent Council. I'm now waiting on an answer to my request for a review.

I was a TVR fan as you well know but now that has been erased by the Edgar show. I can tell you what TVRs are for sale on Car and Classic and their prices but I wont be buying another any time soon. I don't want any of my money to support this group however it may get to them. Meanwhile, Rassau and the surrounding area remains seriously deprived. My brother-in-law's nephew cannot get a job. But its okay boyos, the Welsh Govt has spent £11.9m building an empty shell and has to date never even offered it to a solvent business that could pay its lease and rates, instead waiting for the wealthy Surrey dwellers to move in. Funnily enough, Edgar ranted many times about the delays to the factory works and how he was so desperate to move in but here we are with an empty ready-to-occupy building.

No point contacting TVR, they don't respond and even if they did, I could not trust the reply based on previous promises and statements. Why the Govt persists is beyond my comprehension when the people who actually live here have nothing and no hope.

Personally I find Vipers contributions here very interesting. I think it's good that someone who has the time to look stuff up and keep us updated as to the (non) goings on at TVR.

The farce over the factory, the purile comments in the past from Edgar and co, the lithium mining, the E-Prix sponsorship, the stickers on a Rebellion LMP 1...

This shouldn't go unchallenged. Even if it is only here on PH.

I would suggest contacting the Welsh Assembly property dept and showing an interest in leasing the building, it will be the fastest reply you will ever get, biting your hand off!

In order to keep milking this cash cow for consultancy fees, directors salaries etc etc until its ready for the knackers yard then they have to keep up the pretence something is happening however comical it may sound to those with half a brain. Those in charge of handing out the money at the Senedd also want to keep up the ruse as it justifies their own jobs.
