TVR TUSCAN - ENGINE SWAP - HONDA S2000 (F20C2)

Hey guys,
I appreciate everyone's input.
I have a pretty good experience with the F20C.
I have an S2000 HKS supercharged for the road (360 bhp)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f65bYMYdVzU
I also have a Westfield Aero Race F20C Science of Speed (SOS) supercharged for the track (400 bhp)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VgrxyM-hRvk
Safe to say that after using these cars the way they should be used, its a bullet proof motor.
Now since I am after more power on the TVR - I decided to go a bit nuts and go Big Turbo on it.
Expect 500bhp - noise - flames from the exhausts...
Hopefully with the lighter engine sitting further back we ll save some more weight and aid the weight distribution.
6 speed gearbox is a gem.
I will upload some photos asap.
PS: Here is an older video of my mechanic's similar setup (stock internals) to what I am looking to do on the TVR.

Hi, personally I agree with Lucy, from gut feel. S2000 has many followers, but very low on torque, so driving experience very different to normal TVR. But, if forced induction, who knows? That aside, an interesting project, great fun and great challenge.
One thought might be any future resale value? What would the next purchaser pay? Always worth considering if it will be saleable.

A few years ago I bought a couple of Honda Vtech heads to see if I could fit the valve opening system onto the straight six head . It was a non starter as the TVRs narrower valve angle meant there would be no access to the spark plugs and , even on the wilder lobe of the cam , the valve opening was slower and of insufficient lift for the TVR .

I can't imagine the journey from Greece will be simple - less easy will be the journey back carrying all the spares etc.
Ayyyyy what are you on about. They’ll ship all over the world. You use the information super highway to order
You do know you don’t need to physically go to them

Going to Racing Green and buying all the components to refresh the engine is going to be a lot simpler than trying to put the Honda unit in it.

I read - "going to" as physically going to, rather than as "get from" being via the superhighway.
ATEOTD he's got a Honda engine, seems to have the experience to use it and wants to do so. Let him try, post the results back here and we can all add the info to our collective knowledge. Weren't there similar outcries when someone suggested putting an LS7 engine into a TVR?

A mix of red wine and grammar interpretations I think!

As for the Honda engine, I still reckon once you’ve farted about with fabricating the necessary mounts, swapped gearbox, stand alone management… some new rods, rings and a head rebuild kit is probably going to be easier.
Its impressive to see how much smaller the F20C engine is.
The engine sits lower back and still leaves loats of space behind it (where it connect with the gearbox) and generally around it.
I think this will help us to not have any heating issues.
Next up will be to convert the drive shaft and sort out the engine electronics
If you have any comments / recommendations feel free to share please.

In the states the s2000 engines can be making over 1000bhp when turbocharged. 400bhp won’t really be stressing the engine.
Hmm, maybe F1 are missing a trick here. Bet they last a lifetime too.https://honda-tech.com/articles/1100-hp-s2000-stre...
