I had a flame red (orange) Tuscan V6 in 1972(!) FWY 701J
It was my daily and only car at that time - travelled many enjoyable miles in it and only sold it when I saw a red E Type roadster for sale in a Portsmouth garage & p/xed it.

Do you know about the MOT checker on gov.uk?

The car just passed an MOT at the beginning of the month, once the excessive oil leak, and the insufficient windscreen washers were repaired at 30,834 miles.

2002 TVR Tuscan S Mk1

Chameleon Blue with Portland interior

Had CCC exhausts at the time and the Racing Green boot lid opener mod.

Plate at the time I gave it back was OO02SMO but *ahem* I apparently didn't register it.. I can't remember the original one, I think it started with LG 02.

Purchased from Mole Valley TVR.
I think the plate was either LH02HVK, LH02HVN or LG02HVW. HVN looks like it was written off or sold abroad (last MOT'd in 2009!), HVW has 65,000 wonderful miles on it and is currently registered.

Mileage 30,834

More accurate on DVLA ......

Regit says..........Fail......

"Minor failure(s):

Oil leaking excessively from engine (8.4.1 (a) (i))
Nearside Windscreen washer provides insufficient washer liquid (3.5 (a))"

DVLA says......Fail.....

"Repair immediately (major defects):

Oil leaking excessively from engine (8.4.1 (a) (i))
Nearside Windscreen washer provides insufficient washer liquid (3.5 (a))"

Sorted and given a pass..

cool

You didn't try and put T11SCN on your Tuscan in 2002 did you?

I am restoring a Series one Vixen reg NPY 11F. Its been all sorts of colours from sherwood green to gold/yellow to blue. If anyone knows anything about it Id love to hear from them. I do have a list of some previous owners from before the DVLA stopped giving this out. I have tried to contact them all, but no luck. The car is 51 years old so I guess it will be hard to find some of them.
A very late response but I owned this car for years , found in a scrap yard and originally stripped down by me . Never drove the car and would love to see progress ?
I can be contacted neillawrence@hydesbrewery.com

Hi Neil,

yes I bought it off you!! I hope you and your family are well.

I remember transferring all the bits into a van and arriving back home late at night and getting my family to help me unload!

Its been quite difficult to do actually, but I have rebuilt the body, rebuilt the doors, including the frames and finding new locks and handles, got a new bonnet, rebuilt the engine (twice) rebuilt the gearbox and the diff, repaired all the corners, found some original seats, rebuilt the dashboard (twice), had the fuel tank repaired, acquired another rad (after the original was ruined by a rad restorer) and tracked down nearly all the missing parts. I have been stalled for the last couple of years as I have a new job.

The chassis particularly has given me a lot of issues and its really just this that is stopping me from starting to put it all back together!

At least one of my old Chim’s are still around. Is this owned by anyone here?

I bought it new from Brundle in Kings Lynn.

That is very strange as I just opened this thread up for the first time and was going to post about my first TVR, a Chimaera wearing M145KUH.

MOT expired last year.

Scrapped. The tax ran out at the end of December 2019 and the MOT expired in November 2020. It hasn't been SORN'd, so it's likely to have been scrapped.

Doesn't bring anything up, so I guess it is not on that plate anymore, so it's difficult to know what happened to it. It was likely changed to a private plate, but without knowing that plate, it is a bit of a dead end.

Amazing, how naive of me not to google the reg, cant believe I didn't think of that, I'm amazed at this thread has got as far as it has, maybe we should set up a thread called google ones reg instead.
