Anyone tried any other tyres on a Cerbera ie not Bridgestone's-i've been told Avon's are just as good is this true??

Recommendations are greatly appreciated!

Right, not on a TVR this, but.... I used to have RE010's I think, on the Scooby (SO2 pp on the Griff so have some exp of them) and found that near the end of their life they wore excessively on the outer edges very rapidly leaving plenty of tread in the middle which made the handling somewhat wayward, I didn't like this too much so had a word with my tyre dealer about an alternative. He didn't seem particularly confident with the Toyo's, he could get SO2 pp's in a week or so, but I was going on a long trip the next day blah blah and the B'Stones were dangerous, so he suggested (on an exchange basis if I didn't like them?!?) BFGoodrich Profiler G's ZR rated, the reason being they have a very supple sidewall and a really good rim protection strip (which I have tested!!), he showed me my old B'Stones and their sidewalls were rock solid, hence the wear. I took them as I could swap them if I didn't like them and he said that no-one so far had brought them back. Neither did I, they have phenomenal dry and wet weather grip under breaking and offer a less jittery ride than before. Less road noise and excellent mid bend grip.

The only downside?? Depends I suppose, is they have less turn-in bite, but once they do they stick like glue, very progressive breakaway too.

But, like I said, it's not a TVR, but it does sound like these are some of the characteristics people are looking for.
