Almost forgot, I did get around to finishing off the other Triumph from my "back-catalogue" smile

Mine was bought as a non-runner, in fact it didn’t have an engine or gearbox!!

Getting towed back from the scrapyard where I bought it from was a harrowing experience as the propshaft was flailing around a bit just inches from my leg even though it was tethered - and yet I was young and stupid at the time. I’d planned on fitting a V8 in the hole.

Youthful exuberance had to finally give way to the realities of no garage, having it parked in my mum’s garden and not enough money or progress being made so the car ended up being broken up for parts. It never did end look quite as good as my drawing. Oddly enough the DVLA states it was red but it was definitely yellow.

In terms of the artwork, I’ve improved (simplified) my process a little from the Dolomite, better lines but still too complex for what I'm really after. I’d also like to add some more creative flair here as I'd do with a painting so there's likely to be a version two of this. As it is I'm able to reproduce in any printable colour and with some small degrees of customisation, number plate, lower suspension, go-faster stripes biggrin , etc.

I love that! I have driven a non-turbo Acclaim and really liked it. I bet that the turbo version is a hoot.

He does, and he also has correct for year number plates, ignoring the a-historical nonsense emanating from DVLA.

That TR6 does look very nice indeed.

Is that a non-standard colour - looks like a gunmetal silver to me?

Point of order please teacher

On the TR6, I thought originally they were minilites, as I love a minilite, however, I've just noticed the massive chrome centre hubs, what's all that about then?

I missed this before. Properly cool. (And I don't care how anyone else defines cool.)

Seen a few TR6’s in that shade of grey or similar, really suits the car.

They're a centre lock fitting with chrome non-eared spinners.

Yeah sold the Tr3 through Bicester sports cars, miss it but when it rained it turned into a bath.Perfect car for Sunday trip to the pub on Sunny day, although drove it over Pyrenees couple of years ago really is a pretty car in that colour.
The Tr6 is on mini lights was on chrome wires going to get set of wires powder coated dark red to match interior, also booked in with trimmers for new hood and tonneau in dark red early next year.Won’t please the purists but I like it.The colour is Anthracite a BMW mini colour similar to a gunmetal metallic colour.
Also have put power steering on it and might convert to EFI in future, each to there own. This is my fourth Tr6 bit of a fan really, was going to go to Sicily for Targa Florio this month but cancelled because of Covid can’t wait for a proper drive in Europe.
