I do have a spare new one knocking about, but it's US spec with the fresnel reflector bit on it. Not sure which side I have, although half the time people put them on back to front anyway.

Now you just need to source some chrome-edged repeater lenses. Not easy to find, but not impossible...
True, I'm waiting for one side from Rimmer Bros ... can't remember which side I need but it's not in stock frown
Just checked again and it's the RHS that's unavailable. I've decided to go a different route in that I'm sending some non-chrome-edged ones away to be spray chromed. If the result is good I'll take a photo and post on here.
For the record, the chrome spray unfortunately did not work, some sort of reaction between the plastic and the paint thinners. So I'm now running a new one LHS and the old one RHS.
Thanks for trying Ernie at Invicta Spray Chrome

Lovely car, lovely photo OP.

Here's a TR6 on Simon Rossiter's Champagne Rally with something unusual following.

Just hiding this in here so it doesn't get moved to the video section.

Just 3 minutes of good old fashioned sexism biggrin

What a mess!

Still, it is a nice car, and I agree you have have a laugh in a soft top in the rain.

Your car puts my one to shame hehe lovely looking thing.

Fantastic to see it going around the 'ring too. Bit more of a trek for me to get there though!

Hi there, I’m new to the forum.

I have very fortunately become the owner of a 1971 TR6 LHD 2 carb, without overdrive. The engine, bodywork and interior are all in truly mint condition and I wondered what options you might recommend I consider for an affordable engine and performance upgrade? cheers

alabbasi, very nice in white.

Looks very rust free and is presumably American, looking at the pictures?

Thanks, it's a US car that lives with me in Texas. It came with weber's installed and the original carbs in the boot.

Door gaps look superb. More pics when you have time, one of the engine bay would be nice

This is mine. Had it nearly 20 years. Was a Californian car that has been returned to R/ H drive

Bosch injection with stage 2 head, .60 oversize pistons and liners, lightened and balanced crank and flywheel, 6 into 1 extractor manifold with straight through exhaust. Electronic ignition; alloy tank and uprated radiator with electric fan.

Spax adjustable all round, fully poly bushed, hard mount steering rack, vented front disc with twin pot calliper conversion an Alifin rear discs. Other than that it’s bog standard.

Bit of a Wolf in Sheep’s clothing.

Go to Le Mans in it most years and try and do a project / upgrade each year.

I often toy with the idea of doing a few upgrades to mine performance wise, the US model on Stromberg carbs really is a bit of a slug and doesn't really rev above 4,000, which is a shame. But then I always stop myself because somewhere in the back of my brain I think it's best to keep it 100% original.

Two more weeks to go until I can wake mine up from the winter sleep and it's registered to drive again (seasonal plates from March to November), and I can't wait. smile

It's easy to go too far. Mine is a similar sort of spec as Sogra's car there, although a UK CP series. Everything was great but now I think I've overdone the suspension (at least for my sort of use) by fitting a fatter front ARB, and need to take that back to original.

If anyone wants to buy a very tidy left hooker, I've decided to sell mine.

After about a year and a half of ownership I've come to realise that I just don't use it often enough (maybe 3 times this entire year). It's too old / uncomfortable for any real longer distances, especially with Mrs Adenauer, and we're not old enough to just use it to go and get an ice cream in Cochem.

I'm going to get myself something much newer that we can actually use for the occasional long weekend in the Alps, etc. Something like a 2017 Mustang.
