Retrofit Autohold - Audi B9 - Manual Trans

Hoping this is the correct place to ask this question....
Has anyone here tried to retrofit the Autohold button into a manual Audi A4 B9 ?
My old car was a Passat B6 Highline and had the feature as standard.
It scared the absolute bejesus out of me the first time my new car started rolling back on me.
I've watched videos of it being done on Youtube but they all seem to be American LH Drive Autos.
I'm concerned there's going to be a big difference between my car and what I've seen so far.
Has anyone here any insight into this job ?
