Have a juke 1.5 diesel that we've had for a couple years now. It's now started getting extremely twitchy on the motorway. Pulls one side on acceleration and then pulls the other way when let foot off the pedal. So it's a snake motion going on, very annoying and very dangerous, I'm holding on the wheel for dear life lol.

What could cause this? Any particular part that is most common for this issue? Ie.. Suspension top mounts or something?

Get it on a hunter 4 wheel alignment machine, should help.

Take it to a garage / trusted mechanic. Internet advice is not appropriate in these circumstances. Even if someone can suggest a likely fault, you'll still need someone who knows what they're doing to put it right.

I'd be looking at a worn ball joint or bottom arm myself.

Take it to a garage. Don't take advice off the idiots from this forum. Have you seen some of the posts some of the people here make?

Sounds like a duff suspension joint to me, but not really possible to diagnose remotely, get someone have a good poke around under it.

^^^^ All good advice.

THAT ISN'T TORQUE STEER!

It is something MUCH more serious.

What do you mean it's STARTED getting?

That is a huge red flag that should have had you pulled over to the hard shoulder the first time it happened and possibly drive gingerly off the motorway until you get somewhere it can be recovered.

Please tell me you aren't still driving it, and especially not at high speed. For all you know, you could find major safety critical components literally falling off the vehicle at any moment.

If your MOT is due reasonably soon then it's one very easy way to get that diagnosed.

Agree with the above posters, what you are describing isn't torque steer, sounds like a worn bush or joint is allowing the steering geometry to alter, probably at the front end but check the rear end too.
