Hi all
My VW R wagon is coming up on needing two new rear tyres and I've finally got the chance to replace them when they're not in "urgent fix them now or you can't drive it" territory. Means I could potentially swap away from the P Zeros which were factory standard and have been swapped in since.
I'm thinking of changing for the most important reasons there are:
1) There are some tyres out there with cool names - 80% importance
2) Slight opportunity for money saving, without skimping or being unsafe - 20% importance
I'm obviously being slightly facetious there but I will admit to not being a tyre expert.
Does anyone have any past history swapping P Zeros for any of the below please? Bonus points if you're in a VAG 4Motion car.
Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5 - Eagle F1 cool name, and Blackcircles says it's slightly better on fuel than P Zero, plus £5 less
Continental Sport Contact 6 - less cooler name but still OK, slightly louder and slightly worse on fuel according to Blackcirlces - but £15 less a corner
Bridgestone Potenza Sport - £25 less than P Zero and same specs as Sport Contact, but arguably cooler name
Firestone Roadhawk - possibly coolest name (IMO) but £50 less a corner, and maybe that's skimping too far
Thoughts/comments very welcome please!

Michelin Pilot Sport 4S's FTW.
Had them on my 7.5 R Estate (albeit on forged 19" wheels) & they were epic on road. For track i swapped to Cup 2's & they were mind blowing (in a good way).
Appreciate the tip. They're quite significantly over what I was looking to spend so probably going to look elsewhere this time, but good to hear for if I ever head to the 'ring haha.Had them on my 7.5 R Estate (albeit on forged 19" wheels) & they were epic on road. Look at Tyre reviews on Youtube. There is more than enough info there to make a decision, based on however you drive, wherever you drive, and whenever you drive, and of course in what conditions you driveMy VW R wagon is coming up on needing two new rear tyres and I've finally got the chance to replace them when they're not in "urgent fix them now or you can't drive it" territory. As you've given none of that info here, for anyone else to make a suggestion
Nor do you offer any info whether you were happy, or unhappy with the OEM fit tyres you may be running at the minute ?
