Hi guys,I have a carbon fibre strut(not load bearing etc)part of a front grille set.Anyhow its about 20" long but has a slight curve in it.It needs to be straight to fit.
Anyone know of any techniques that I could use to rework this piece? i.e applying heat & pressure or something? At the mo everything I've tried results in the strut snapping back to its original shape.
Many thanks
Matt.

Sorry, think you will have to get a new one.
Carbon parts are very strong and stable so I doubt you will make it go somewhere else.

I think you will find that the resin is thermosetting and cannot be remelted.

As steve_D says, it's time for a new part.
