This is the setup I have. The hose is a commercial grade thing, no chance of kinking.
I can see the benefit of an auto rewind hose, but this takes all of 30s to wind in after use, which I do once a week. Gaining says 20s once a week doesn't feel that important to me personally, plus you have the added risk with the auto-rewind ones where they decide to rewind when you pull for more hose and the hose slaps against your car. Each to their own.
I feel better about it now you said thatI can see the benefit of an auto rewind hose, but this takes all of 30s to wind in after use, which I do once a week. What I would say is the whole project is pretty lazy for me- did it to save about 5 mins of faff a week getting the pressure washer out. In that context, 30 seconds is major!

We all know its more about the doing of the project than the end result What I would say is the whole project is pretty lazy for me- did it to save about 5 mins of faff a week getting the pressure washer out. In that context, 30 seconds is major!
Caddy shack - how did you connect the reel to your Karcher - if you have one? The 2 feet of thick hose coming off the reel is as below - I have 2 Karcher to M22 style connectors which I used previosuly to join 2 pieces of karcher hose together, but these wont fit.
Any clues to what connector I need please?

It looks like you need an M22 > 3/8" bsp fitting. It looks like you have inserted a 3/8" bsp male to male adapter in the hose that wouldn't be required if using the fitting below.

You can find short guns with quick disconnects at both ends, I use a Mosmatic one personally so I can swap between a lance and a foamer.
There are two types of M22 fitting, one with a 14mm centre bore and another with a 15mm centre bore. Sounds like you have the wrong one for your equipment.

Stick up a couple more pics of the ends you have, I did something similar but with my K2 and a universal lance my old man had.wjwren said:
Still stuck on connecting this up to the lance end.
What do I need to connect these 2 together. a female to female fitting?
There is a host of connections on amazon, but unsure which one will fit.
I purchased the below to fit on the other end to connect to the karcher k7 and that fitted fine.
Your hose is 3/8" BSP male and your lance M22 male. A 3/8" female to M22 female adapter is what you need. There are plenty of eBay, just check it's BSP and not NPT before buying. What do I need to connect these 2 together. a female to female fitting?
