Just been to a local high pressure hose place and the chap has sorted me out, £5! One thing im not 100% on is the pressure, the internal diameter on this pipe is larger. Also the end where the lance connects up does not turn round on it's own so the hose can kink easily.

This is one of the reasons for moving to an aftermarket gun with a built in swivel and quick disconnect, although you will pay for the luxury.

You can find short guns with quick disconnects at both ends, I use a Mosmatic one personally so I can swap between a lance and a foamer.

There are two types of M22 fitting, one with a 14mm centre bore and another with a 15mm centre bore. Sounds like you have the wrong one for your equipment.
My Karcher died a couple of weeks ago and I’ve been contemplating a Kranzle and a “fixed” set up so coming across this thread has been lucky. Freeing myself of the almost rigid hoses will be great.

Shanksy, thanks for the links, it all makes sense. One question please - which snow foamer are you using with the Mosmatic gun? Their website only has “commercial” forecourt foaming equipment.

Many thanks

I'm using an MTM PF22 with a 1/4" quick disconnect. eBay is your friend.

Caddyshack I have the same hose as you. Have you found that the pressure was lower as the hose has a larger internal diameter than the karcher etc hose?

It will be the end diameter that determines the pressure
The pinhole at the end of the Gun!

That’s the one I use, it’s great. I welded up a bracket so it hangs from roof and wall in my steam cleaner shed and swivels.
Caddy shack can you show me what connectors you use please. Ive contacted Rutland and Qwashers and still no solution. Damian from Qwashers was helpful but wasnt sure I would get decent pressure coming from a Karcher K7 and out the back a small karcher hose, to then this thick hose. If you could tell me your setup that would be great and where or what connectors you are using.

Just bare in mind the hose has no tangible bearing on the output pressure for the lengths we use, this is governed by the output nozzle orifice size. Typically this size is a bit too small as they chase headline pressure rather than flow rate. You don't need 1500psi to wash a car, 1000psi is plenty, but psi sells pressure washers. You want to be able to hold your hand infront of the stream, anymore is not necessary, IMO.

The part I need is a 14mm to 15mm m22 female to female swivel. Ive rung a few places now and nobody seems to stock this.

Shanksy87,
I refer you to my earlier reply!
Didn't you read the whole post.
Very basic stuff, bit like explaining why a bent Gun Barrel doesn't give a bullet a curved trajectory.

@wjwren, I've looked into this stuff pretty extensively and haven't found what you're looking for either. My solution was to get the M22 > 3.8" adapter, then fit a 90 degree hose 3/8" hose union which are in plentiful supply.

@mickyh7, you're right. I didn't get that far up the page, that'll teach me to duck into a thread whilst in a meeting. We're agreeing on this, it's all about the size of the hole wink I'm not sure why Qwashers doesn't a) know this because its a basic principal for the products he sells and b) have any test data given he has all the equipment on offer to test with. I gave up with Damian after he couldn't answer my more simple questions.

My bible for everything pressure washer related is Obsessed Garage. He's tested everything and explains it all in great detail.
