My 1950s, medium sized, aspirational 'premium brand' family car parked next to it's 2020s equivalent

I wonder if Audi in the VAG brand is the same now as Riley was in the BMC brand (or BMH, of whatever it was at the time!!)

My enormous 1960s US classic parked next to a modern midsized SUV and hatchback.

Not as impressive as the pic above, but shows that we have redefined what "large" means in terms of cars.

My old XJS with a new Golf behind. Jags were always called big cars,

Both are about the same width but the Jag is a lot longer. The Golf seats 5 and the Jag obviously doesn't, so the Golf has much better packaging. Really this shows how the modern car size wise is much better than the old car.

Our Audi S2 probably doesn’t quite make classic status yet, as it’s still a daily, but the EV family estates are portly…

Station car park this morning.

Any an excuse to post a picture of the S2, you don’t need an excuse, looks superb; I also think the Hyundai is a bit of a looker as well.

Those Hyundai's are massive aren't they, I don't know why, but they always suprise me with just how big they are, they look like a regular hatchback, then you get closer and they are just huge!

The Audi is lovely

I took this in Needles California when we did the USA2005 driving event across Gilead(was: USA)...

Really helps show the size differentials...

Is a Kei-car a classic?

I had a Cappuccino when they were new, and even then it was dwarfed by most cars on the road. However I found myself next to an MG Midget, and it was tiny. So even in the ‘90s cars were bigger than their older counterparts.
