Technically awaiting repair but hasn’t turned a wheel in I think the best part of a year. Sadly running a small block Chevy rather than the original sweet six…
What's the obsession with putting American engines in everything?I saw a Boxster for sale locally needing engine work - the owner said they were going to put an LS in it but lost interest.
Dropping an LS in a Boxster to me ruins the appeal of the car.

That makes very little sense except for outright power. If the car currently has a lacklustre motor, then fair play. If the current motor has gone pop and a replacement is megabucks or likely to do the same (TVR Six, please step forward), then unarguable.
...but something like that...that's sacrilege!

I agree it is sacrilege - I came so very close to buying one 25 years ago - 1 owner, mint body and interior, brand new crated replacement BMW engine, drove fantastically well and the smoothness and noise of that straight six, oh my! All for 4K but my ex wanted a Mercedes so a 280SLC was purchased instead. Idiot.

It's a legal requirement for any farm in France to have one of the following decaying in an outbuilding:- Renault 16, 4 or 5
- Citroen H van, 2cv (obvs) or Traction Avant
I believe there are a further tax benefits if the owner can show it being used as chicken coup.
