I've always thought of these as Lagonda Rapides rather than Aston Martin Lagondas but, either way, a rare sight nowadays.
A great big wedge....was enormously long and almost cartoonish

I saw this one in Bath a couple of years ago. It was pretty impressive in the flesh in an over-the-top ‘70s way …

Pretty impressive shape today. Absolutely alien technology in the 70s.

One of the loveliest things ever made. I've nearly bought one four times.

One day I'll find one that isn't a pear...

A pear? One should be enough.

1956 Cadillac. In black. It looked a beast! No idea what the motor is far left in the first pic.

645 were built. Successful by the standards of AML at the time.

Have you ever been near one? Lots of presence. A real occasion.

At an open day at Newport Pagnell I won a trip in one in the raffle and my lads and I were driven for quite a few miles by a Director of Aston Martin. Fabulous.

What's the car on the right? Looks like a Scirocco with a Tesla nose! 3dr Focus?

I recall back in around 1981 waiting at Bilbao to get the puke boat car ferry back home and a maroon one of these was waiting, albeit in its own que, to get on. Apparently it was the king of Spain's son with some VERY attractive female.

I was in my first Lotus sunbeam, in the peasants que wink

Agreed Gen 1 Focus the fold in the bonnet and the curve at the top of the headlight look right to me, the missing bumper and other clues make it a bit confusing.

Saw this actual car yesterday on the A14 on a flatbed.

Sold for £1850 back in November. Cheap classic motoring that is.

I have thankyou, and indeed they do - however, were 'Elephant Man' to walk down your local high street you could say the same thing.

ETA: To be fair, given some of the st BMW seem to be producing nowadays, I suppose you could find some beauty in a Lagonda.
