Could be wrong, but I don’t think I’ve seen a UK registered coupe in this style.
Yes, I remember the 2 door saloon was a pov spec model used to lower the entry price to the range rather than the 2 door coupe we got in the UK which was a premium offering. Audi did a similar 2 door saloon 100

The W116 is
but that exhaust...
Bodgetastic!
But I've done worse.
About the Eldorado; I've wondered occasionally if the side-mount spares were actually spares or simply bling adornments.
I don't know and I CBA looking it up.
I posted on the wrong thread! I moved it to the spotted classics....

Thanks.
I just had a momentary confusion spin. I still don't know if I posted in the wrong thread.
I'm nearly seventy you know! What's your name, eh?

Thank you Turbobanana, I’d never noticed the coke V straight line difference on the Granada.Later, straight line Coupé, 74-77:

I was aware of the Europeans doing two door versions of larger saloons/execs.
IMO, the Europeans look rather smart, designation, 2 door saloon/sedan or coupe?

I just looked at a 1973 German brochure which, in German logically !, lists the available body styles as 2 door, 4 door, coupe and estate.
In the same way many Taunus models were available as a 2 door / 4 door saloon plus a coupe version with a more 'sporty' roof line.
Edit, add picture below.

That Taunus coupé always looked pretty good, to my eyes. From memory, the Taunus always had a narrower bonnet bulge and grille centre compared to the 'Tina.
It's a reference to the shape of the classic "contour" Coke bottle introduced in the 40's - the curve of the bottle from the neck to the body is similar to the curve from the door into the rear wing.

From Wikipedia:
Coke bottle styling is an automotive body design with a narrow center surrounded by flaring fenders. This design element bears a general resemblance to a Coca-Cola classic glass contour bottle design, and was inspired by the tapering middle fuselage of contemporary fighter jets. Industrial designer Raymond Loewy, who in 1955 had re-designed the actual Coke bottle as well, introduced it on the radical 1962 Studebaker Avanti gran turismo.
