Nice TR6, but I especially love the whitewalls! My dad had a lot of American cars so I grew to love them - especially with chrome wire wheels!

I do love a TR6 cool here’s my late model ‘76, has been in storage for a few years, hoping to have it on the road this year. Just needs recommissioning. I can’t actually drive it as I’m too tall, but my Dad loves it.

Here's mine...

That looks absolutely lovely. I had the loan of one in this colour (Midnight Blue?) in the eighties and spent much of the week motoring round Aberdeenshire with the top down most days. It went well and sounded lovely. I’ve periodically toyed with the idea of getting one, but other impulse car buys have got in the way. One day though… smile

Not really sure how you are supposed to quote when a thread gets a new volume. But LunarOne posted this:

Is that one of the new retro style Blaupunkt stereos? Are they any good? I am wondering whether to blow £400 on a stereo in a car I rarely use.

Had my younger classic out the other weekend (built Jan 1996), doesn't get used much so it was good to put 15 or so miles on it.

I've been looking at these. I think the cost is about the same as fixing my actual SQR46 (tape transport broken) but I'm not sure it's a simple plu-and-play. The original Toronto uses weird old plugs, from what I can see this modern unit comes with modern ISO plugs. I refuse to chop into my loom but haven't (so far) been able to find the correct sockets for the original plugs to go from DIN to ISO.

First world problems etc.

My classics are lower end things...
Mk2 Escort in resplendent beige, still completely original including the 1100 crossflow engine in regular use just now! Pic yesterday at the beach

and my Peugeot 104S. Still tucked away for winter but will be taxed as soon as the worst of the salt is off the roads.

Only picked this up late last year, hasn't had much use yet, but when the weather improves it will be getting out more.

I can't take credit for the photograph though that was done by Tadgh Collins (tigger_collins on Instagram)

1988 735i with < 80k miles, Original Irish car, but spent a long time in Spain as well, so completely rust free underneath.

Nowt wrong with "lower end"! Saw a Marina the other day, raised a smile.
Haven't seen one of those Peugeots for decades. My sister owned one, with all my cars having been on the deck with rock hard suspension, first corner had me thinking I was going to roll it... After that, I just enjoyed the quality of the ride - better than most moderns I've been in since.

That looks great. Gone from 8 to 4 cylinders though!
