Have you contacted the JEC?? There this one available

https://jec.org.uk/classifieds/index.php?page=cars...
Page wont load at the moment, but thank you, I'll have a look.
Curiously the page loads on my phone, nice looking car, but S3, I'm going to hold on for an S1.
Get in contact with the JEC, they always know a few SI's that are available but not advertised

That's odd, a V12 with tweed seats.... must've been a special order. With all XJ's I would urge anyone to get underneath and judge the value of the car but its condition underneath...
I love the tweed seats - makes it for me

Yeah. Exactly. Half that price I'm on my way.

dug out the photo of the blue series 1 that was sent to me - I've kept it for nearly 30 years for some unbeknown reason....

nice to see it still survives - looks like it's still wearing the same grill badge.

Its a lovely colour.

The blue car at HandH is unused for 20 years, so unless its just had a very big recommission its going to need some work.

It's a bit of an oddity - K is post August 1971, by which time the chrome dials, single piece bumper and single reflector had been phased out (late 1969 I think). Where had it been for 2 years…

I thought exactly that, its registered too late for a chrome dial car.

I'm not in a rush to buy an S1 (well obviously being a bloke with more money that sense, but not much of either I am in a terrible rush), the right car for me will come along.

I feel I want a 4.2 MoD or a 2.8 Auto.

mine had to be chrome dial, single piece bumper, single reflector, model 12 not model 8 Borg Warner autobox and in silver preferably with red leather but definitely not grey. it took a while...
