Instantly recognisable logos...
Discussion
I was having a bit of a think the other day (and a sit down, can't do two things at once).
Which is the most instantly recognisble logo, and why? I think that some of the following are probably contenders, and they're all quite simple designs:

The BR one is less ubiqutous than it used to be, but still obvious what it is. The Nazi flag one, despite it's unpleasant associations, is also instantly recognsiable and unmistakeable.
Any others that you can think of?

Until about 1 year ago, I never realised that the logo represented two train tracks. I saw it virtually every day, but it never "clicked". Same with the National Lottery (crossed fingers) logo, one day I looked at it and suddenly realised that it was also a smiling face.Shows how much attention I pay

BMW:
The blue and white parts of a circle are present in the BMW’s logo that we see on its automobiles. The origin of this dates back to the 1st world war when, the fighter planes had their propellers painted by the company in blue and white so that the pilots could see through them. This inspired the design that we see on BMW’s cars.
some sort of magic see through paint eh?The blue and white parts of a circle are present in the BMW’s logo that we see on its automobiles. - in reality its the blue/white checks of the Bavarian flag
Apparently the coke bottle design is based on the cocoa pod, which is a mistake, as that's where chocolate comes from, it's the extract from the coca leaf that is used in Coke (and the other Coke..)
