Woop woop! Congratulations.
Which one have you gone for?
It’s the Cyan Blue one from JCT600. 2019 with 3300 miles and one owner. Which one have you gone for?
I must admit, I’m nervous buying a car that I haven’t seen or driven. It goes against all my instincts. But 410’s seem to be selling almost instantly right now, and I’ve already missed out on a couple that I wanted but had sold within a day or two of the adverts going out.
It looks good in the photos, and it’s still under warranty, so what’s the worst that can happen, right?

Congrats, I phoned up about that one on Friday afternoon, wanted a pic but got told it had literally just been sold! They don’t seem to hang around do they! As I was paying the deposit, the salesperson told me her colleague was on the phone to somebody else about it. I wasn’t sure if she was telling the truth or if it was salesperson ‘talk’. (Sorry for de-railing your thread Eddie, I’ll stop now!)

I’d arranged to go look at it on the Saturday morning, should have put a deposit down first!!
Good price with the carbon roof and third year service included.

Yeah, if you look a couple of posts above you can see I've fitted a tow eye to the underside of the rear subframe. It's not OEM but I'm not having to spend hundreds on new a rear grille, a subframe mount and TRS tow strap. This does the job.
Just seen this.. must have missed it Where is it from?
Yesterday we were at Silverstone GP with Want2Race, and it was another cracking day. After a wet start (I didn't go out til 10.30 admittedly) the track dried and managed to get about 50 laps done..... between the red flags.
The day was in the end a bit of a Test Day format with most cars from Caterham, Radical and Ginetta race teams. However, despite this the etiquette was pretty decent (exemplary on the Ginetta side) and we all had a great time. The race surroundings certainly made for some decent picture opportunities.
The upgrades I fitted over the winter were what I wanted to test yesterday more than anything else. Having never worn full safety gear in a car before it was a bit of a surprise how much time is wasted fitting a Hans, harnesses and associated helmet. Wasted is maybe not the right word, but it's easily an extra 5 minutes of fiddling and contorting in the car before you get going. That said, it's fantastic how much more in control you feel when you aren't sliding around in your seat when pressing on.
The other big upgrade test was the rear camera. We all know that live timing has become an insurance snag these days..... well, the rear camera function has solved that issue. The logging etc can run in the background and instead of the dash info I can select to display the rear view on track (and road if I want... probably not legal though). This means I've got 3 clear points of view to the rear and no visible distraction or motivation from a lap timer. It's really very helpful too as some of the cars (radicals mainly) there yesterday didn't easily show in the wing mirrors, and it was the camera that alerted me to their progress.
Performance wise I think the harnesses are a big factor in my unexpected PB yesterday. In the first session I was 4secs quicker than I was in September. In the second session I was 8secs quicker. Following sessions were disjointed with red flags and traffic unfortunately. I can only attribute that to having full control of the car now and not having to struggle for arse grip when beyond 1G in cornering. It's a totally different experience now, and a better one.
Anyway, here's a couple of quick laps (first couple of corners are a little off admittedly) including the 2m30s PB. Sean is in the TCR.

A little encounter with a Ginetta. By the end of the day we were really trying to get amongst them

And a session from later in the day.

Had a late night start the other day and a 1000 mile round trip for work. Unexpectedly, the weather was terrible over the Beattock Submit and I finished with the car white with snow and salt.
Back to normal now though and getting excited about Goodwood on the 19th.
Still waiting for the full set of pics from W2R but there are a couple of early images from Silverstone that I've nabbed

I used my old 350S roadster as a daily for 3 years to and from Leicester/Norfolk every week and my current 430 Cup on Euro road trips etc (well not this year sadly) as they are fine at motorway cruising speeds (especially with the roof off in fine weather)...my old roadster was a bit boomy at around 55-60 though which could be a pain.
Top man for using your car so much.

350 miles to a tank heading south the other day. Only 300 going north due to the wind and weather. Top man for using your car so much.

Looks brilliant, I'm at Goodwood at the 19th too, look forward to seeing it there!
Harness' are so good, tbh I've got HANS but barely use it unless it's somewhere like Spa. Bit fiddly and uncomfortable
Excellent. It'll be good to get a few laps in together. Hoping to drop below 1m30s with the harnesses fitted Harness' are so good, tbh I've got HANS but barely use it unless it's somewhere like Spa. Bit fiddly and uncomfortable

I've only done Goodwood once a few years back in the Mustang which hit 1.34 I think. This car tends to be 6-10 sec a lap quicker but Goodwood is half the length of most so I'd be happy with a 1.31... honda_exige said:

It's a good power circuit so it'll be interesting to see where you settleecain63 said:
