Elise prices. What's going on?
Discussion
Jon definitely appears very competitive, I quite like the Elise S he has but I'm sure it'll not be quite what I wanted in the long run so I'm holding out for an exige/elise sc.
There's a yellow exige on C & C at 34k which Mot run out in Aug at £34k, I can't see anyone paying 5k more for this than a car from a specialist, prepared and with some sort of guarantee.

That looks good, it's also got the forged wheels and sports seats.Congrats! Have you just bought it for less than you previously sold it too?
After 5 years my CR is up for sale, although it’s less than ideal that 5(!) other Ardent Red 1.6’s of various sorts are up at same time. What are the chances?
After the all the hate for red on this thread I’m not expecting to have my door beaten down in the rush, but if anyone out there really really wants a red one, mine is the best

So with equity markets tanking and no sign of Trump changing tack do you think we’ll see Sportscar (Lotus) prices firming as investors come back into market looking for alternative assets classes?
Anyone's guess. People were predicting Armageddon when Covid happened and instead prices inflated massively. You could argue the financial markets tanking would lead to people holding off making any unnecessary plastic sports car purchases. Works both ways.
Best thing is to ignore it all and just enjoy the things. I'm typing this from a ferry with my Exige having just done a few thousand km in Spain over the last 4 months. That is, IMHO, priceless.

thanks. Bought for the same price as i did back in 2021. B&C did me a great deal to be fair. After 5 years my CR is up for sale, although it’s less than ideal that 5(!) other Ardent Red 1.6’s of various sorts are up at same time. What are the chances?

Selling these privately i think is the issue. Try a sale or return method!

That's my own experience too, so mine actually is sale or return with Performance Autocare. He's looked after it the last few years so can vouch for the car too.Very little interest so far so I've dropped the price a couple of £k. Will see what happens, but if it carries on being sunny I might just get it back and enjoy it some more. Perhaps readvertise it another time when the market is not so crowded and the news has a little less chaos in it.
