Anyone struggling to Stop the satnav ( rather than just switching the voice guidance off) as it's a massive pain in the arse to do on the screen:

Voice command button:

"Clear Itinerararary"

reply:

"Navigation, Do you want to Clear the Itinerararary?"

You "yes"

reply " Cleared the Itinerarararary"

Easiest way to do this is using the steering wheel controls. Flick across to Navigation and then Cancel Guidance. Voice control for me is beyond useless apart from controlling the temperature or using the "Take Me Home" instruction

Hi - how close to the end of your lease duration did you you get the call? In the same position but with the extension lease is up in June.

Thanks - don’t use that mini-menu button hardly so didn’t know it was theresmile I may start using it apart from when the missus is in the car just to annoy her.

Correct.

Trying to play music was the most frustrating, no matter how clear you were. Many a screaming match ensued.

Yes there should be a software update so that it understands to desist when it is told anything ending in OFF.

Had my call earlier this week and my V90 CC goes back mid February so I reckon they call a month before the end.

I'm tempted to extend having already had 3 months free due to covid but I'm doing very few miles per week so can't justify the cost.

I got the call this week for a mid-April return date.
Not had the Covid extension so asked abut that instead.
Wrong department for that apparently - "I'll get them to call you".
They haven't - yet.

Has anyone with the Covid payment holiday managed to avoid the 2nd service on a 24-month original deal?

I’m on a service plan but did you delay the first service due to Covid as allowed?

Delayed by about 3 weeks only. Service indicator showing 98 days yesterday which is 30 April.

COVID lease extensions

Been back quite a few pages and cannot see any discussion on this (apologies if I have missed it).

Looking on the Santander website it seems that they now offer 2 x 3 month COVID extensions.

I know lots of people seemed to get the first 3 month extension back in March/April

From what I can see, you don't pay for 3 months and they tack 3 months onto the end of the lease (so effectively extra 3 month free)

Has anyone been successful in getting the new 2nd 3 month COVID extension?

thanks

Me too. Mines gone back now but with a double extensions you may be getting in second service territory....

I think the FCA said consumers needed to be given 6 months grace at the end of November. I guess this is where the 2nd 3 months comes from.

I've tried calling them, but no answer, and the form on the website looks basic

Will be intrigued if anyone else gets anywhere. Certainly the first 3 month extension was welcome. Any extensions welcome given how much the £££ of leasing has risen!

No issue with servicing for me - I've got one of the 3 year service plans.

Anyone got their Volvo through Arval? I'm still less than a year into a decent 2 year deal. One thing that is in the agreement is that at 21 months I do have to end it else it rolls forward and will continue on a monthly basis. Given the way lease costs have been going this could be a pretty good option at the end of the 2 years... though the costly 2 year service would then need to be done.

Anyone have or had similar?

Mine is due back late March.

After much deliberation I declined the extension yesterday. It's a lovely, favourite-comfy-jumper of a car and I'll be sad to see it go but now that neither of us commute we've got a second practical car sat unused on a trickle charger, along with a 'fun' car in a similar state. I'd only have kept it for a couple of months to avoid the second service so it started looking like an expensive way to do some short runs to my son's nursery.

OK appreciate the feedback and thanks to others who have told me of their experiences.

We've ordered a Kodiaq to replace the V90 CC when it goes back in June - it's a shame as it's a lovely place to be. Be nice if a similar deal comes up in the future....

That's my V90 CC just collected.

Awaiting the report but the agent said there was £340 off charges, also said for the value of the car he didn't think they would chase me for and if I did to contest as companies can't be bothered. Don't know if that's for him to decide!

I was expecting a bit more potentially as it has a couple of dings, one to the front splitter that the parking sensors didn't pick up on dry stone wall section jutting out, wife scratched and dented the bumper inc and dent to the decorative exhaust surround.

Will miss the car but no point with extensions etc in the current climate done 13K mile in 21 months.
Have yuo had any update on this?

Mine's going back tomorrow, and there's a scuff on the front bumper around an inch long, plus a few on the 'bash' plate under the grill.

Afternoon, long time lurker but 1st time poster.

Slightly off topic but looking into getting a s90 (18/19 plate) as a few seems to tick all the right boxes. Seem to be a fair few hitting the market which may be down to this lease deal that was offered at the time.

From your experience would I be mad to splash the cash on a t4 r design?
im 18months in to my 3 year lease of a T4 r design - I love it a 19plate S90 MPG during lifetime 32.5mpg but lots of north London driving, over 43MPG on motorway runs. Im keep an eye on the market and I may buy one too at the end of my lease. For 19/20K a good car however if depreciated this much already what will it be worth in another 2-3 years ? you could be heartbroken !

anyone had their saloon boot lid start playing up?
mine keeps refusing to shut, unless I try and shut it manually, then let it spring back up.
Or if it's feeling contrary sometimes upshing it up then hitting the button works.

Thinking of spraying something in the holes lift arm holes , you know, just for a gamble. It'll either make it work better or worse.
