Anyone looking forward to the new S60 arriving in Britain next month?

Yes, looks good in the pictures. Just picked up a new V60 T5 R-Design very impressive. Replaces a tired BMW 320D touring. Volvo are making some great cars again. I am looking forward to trying a S60 T8....

Currently putting together my dream v60 t5. Noticed on the Volvo page is now a launch model s60 with loads of extra kit. Waiting for the Easter holidays to finish so I can phone around and get a few quotes for the launch model (if they’ve not already been allocated)

I’m not too concerned about having an estate to be honest. Currently got a 2018 A4 avant and I don’t think I’ve put anything in the boot apart from a few shopping bags
Just came back from a weekend in Stockholm. Saw almost every combination of spec and colour driving around. Saw some great combinations. I think the Birch Light with tinted windows with the extra chrome parts of the Inscription spec looks lovely.

Does anyone know if the t5 will ever be a AWD on the v or s60?

Ordered mine for 1st September delivery.

The drive is lovely immediately more sprightly in direction changes than my 17 S60 T4 R Design. The T5 is much quicker but interestingly didn't feel it from my perspective. The interior and equipment is in another league though.

Unbelievably only two Edition cars available when I ordered mine which was Sunday morning of the launch weekend. The lesser-specced R Design Plus also cost more on the PCH.

Re the AWD models... Don't know but the brochure only available on Saturday (looks a bit rushed IMHO (when compared to the V60 brochure)) shows them but suggests they are not available in all markets. Typically we don't buy many sedan Volvo models preferring the SUV and Estate cars. Time will tell if this new one will demand greater options being available.

Nearly a year on... Some reflections:

Only done 14000m thanks to Covid. Very competent and comfortable cruiser. Rides well, firm without being crashy on anything but very big potholes. Speed bumps require a slow approach speed but more due to the ride height.

Good on fuel considering the performance but surprised how quickly he front boots are wearing out.

Amazed at comfort and standards of finish. Paint much better than predecessor.

What model and spec do you have?

I’m looking at a standard spec T design plus but unsure if I’m missing out by not getting the inscription.

Sorry to keep you hanging...

R Design Edition
So it has Harman Kardon stereo: superb
Intellisafe

It is very well specced and would obviously have been more expensive to spec a standard R Design the same way.

MPG - not great to be fair. Pre-Covid I was doing a fair bit of motorway work achieving 37-44 mpg. Now getting between 19-31 mpg in mixed driving.

Second hand residuals look awful... Found a less used same spec version as mine in silver which admittedly had been dropped £6k for £22k. Glad I'm leasing!

Chaps I'm looking at buying a new V60 R Design. The Continental spec is speed limited to 180 kph, around 110 mph. Are yours the same? I suspect it's reversible via a map but it has slightly put me off; any thoughts?

Secondly, R Design or Inscription? What's the consensus from users so far? I'm seeing the salesman on Fri but I think am beginning to favour comfort over performance, especially if they're all limited to the same top speed.

I'd really appreciate a view from any of you.

My S60 isn't limited.

I was recently loaned an S60 Inscription T5. Similar but I prefer the stiffer R Design chassis and lower seating position.

In your position I would look to try both.
