A friend has bought a 2009 V70 Japanese import.
This warning has come up. We thought it might be low battery in the keyfob but he's tried the other one and it's the same.
Any ideas please, tried putting the image into Google transl;ate and that didn't help

Not sure. Can't find anything specific though the general consensus on key issues seems to be connection due to battery, or signal unit.

There's nothing in the UK or JP Manuals.

Must be some service code.

Good luck.

Volvo key fobs are terrible and if both key fobs have new batteries (if not replace them) check the plastic retention clips and springy metal connectors are in good order.

The direct translation is 'car key, please replace the battery'. I would suggest changing both key fob batteries. Had to change both for my car to remove the message (mine is an import but converted to English).
