Top Gear 42109 lego is £61 on Amazon. That seems quite cheap - wasn't it over £100?

Tempted at that price even though it seems a bit meh compared to other sets.. Thoughts?

The Senna is only £44 but looks a bit naff.

I looked at the Top Gear car at that price (half price) and went to buy it but changed my mind as thought it looked a bit pants. Think the Senna is £45 normal price. I quite like the Monster trucks and they come down to £14 on occasion on Amazon. Also fancy the Jeep Wrangler too.

The Senna does look rubbish, then again so does the real one.

The Top Gear one even at that price still looks expensive.

The Jeep was a nice one to build

I think that if you're looking for a powered model, the Volvo hauler at £165 is much better value than the Top Gear car, even at £60

2,200 pieces vs 460 ish, plus the resale will be much higher on the Volvo if that's a factor. The used eBay prices on the Volvo are not far off the Amazon new price, so if you buy it now, build it and wait for it to be discontinued, I think you'd easily get the money back.

And the Volvo is great for scaring the cats or getting your other half to pop a cold one from the fridge in the load bay and drive it back to yourself

This arrived earlier.

Genuinely had no recollection of ordering it but having it here on my dining table and looking at my bank statement it would appear that I did indeed order it, at a great price on Amazon, the other evening. After having consumed rather a lot of beer. Oh well.

Ditto! (Although I do remember ordering mine biglaugh)

I was very pleased to see how thick the instructions were!

I seem to remember some posts about alignment when building the engine?

Mine's on its way too - that price on amazon was too good to miss. I can balance the box on top of the recently-arrived Shuttle...

Has anyone bought the Lego speed champions 75878 Bugatti
It’s up for £105 on Amazon..... now looking at the pics of it vs the real deal Bugatti that is £228 I’m wondering what’s so special about it and how can it command such a price tag.

Retired Lego set tax unfortunately. It is a crazy price though.

I just checked, you can part it out on Bricklink for a whopping total of £16.54.

That is one heck of a tax on that one!!!

Wow - I love my boys Group B uR Quattro speed champions it’s played with every day. Wouldn’t dream of keeping it boxed (though maybe buy a second and keep boxed)

And whilst you’re playing with the Quattro what does he get to play with?

Sian finished. Took me about 25 hours over 6 days. Really enjoyed this one, quite challenging at times and the end result is impressive.

Really really enjoyed that (WELL worth the £109 paid, thank you Amazon). Being a Land Rover, how soon before it breaks?

Next up. A non Technic one cool

You don't hang about with these do you? I tend to spread the build over a week. I'm tempted to strip mine down at some point and rebuild it into the stadium truck.

Mine take me ages to build.

Between finding time to do.it, I seem to.ejoy doing a bag at a time then stopping until the next time. Rough terrain crane took me a few weeks!

Even the lunar lander took me 7/8 days.

Looks like they've finished building the lego Discovery Centre and shop near me, and now it's just a case of waiting until they're allowed to open. Anyone know if they tend to go for big launch events with lots of discounts?
Shop looks pretty well stocked from a peer through the window.
