i love that big rig. i think when i get time i'd like to build some sort of trailer for it to pull. i really fancy the idea of converting it into a australian road train type hardcore rig with roo bars and stuff

Heads up:

Argos have a 3-for-2 offer on toys (including Lego) at the moment, offer ends on the 21st. Just in case anyone was considering an expensive toy or three wink

thanks a bunch - that just cost me a lot of money! (and saved me a lot as well though!)

update - I posted this as the purchase went through - it didn't - the website crashed?!?

seems like too many people were after the 3 for 2 offer?

Thanks for the info.

I've been on the lookout for the 8043 excavator second hand off EBay. Based on this offer, I just ordered THREE 8043 excavators from Argos. I'm having one, a pal of mine is having the other, and the remaining "free" one is going on EBay unless anyone here is interested. I figure with a bit of luck I'll effectively get a brand new 8043 for the price of a used one off EBay plus it's guaranteed to be the latest version with the upgraded linear actuators.

ETA: It's about time I got some up to date Lego - this is my collection:

I picked up 2 unimogs and the super car today on the 3 for 2 offer. I'm not sure what I will do with the unimog's yet. I might stash them in the loft and use them to buy new sets in a few years, one may end up getting built at christmas.

Good effort - I'm pretty sure - long term - there's money to be made out of the more expensive sets with this offer, but I don't have the disposable cash to ever find out.

I got one of those for chrimbo when they were first issued; best chrismas evarr! They may as well have not bought me any other presents that year, the lego digger and a few bags of dried peas to shovel into the back of a Tonka dumper truck and I was in heavy plant heaven.

I was wondering about that myself - but so far only got as far as getting the NXT stuff out of the box and testing it still works!

Oh my. The car top left was subject of much childhood lust for me. Alas, it never happened. I do have about a dozen technic sets from the lats 80's and early 90's though.
