I need to 'unglue' my plane - help?

I'm not going to go into too much detail here, but basically I've bought an r/c model aircraft shell into which I am putting in some existing electrics. The shell is made from polystyrene.

I've balls up in glueing a balsa plate in the wrong position inside the plane and only realised now it's assembled. The outcome is the battery tray is too shallow for the battery.

The plane has been glued together with 5 minute Epoxy. Anyone have any tips on how to get the plane apart again so I can reseat the balsa platform without destroying the plane? I've not tried it yet, but can only think to cut the seams with a scalpel, but I know it's not going to be the easiest job in the world

Can you get a Dremmel in and grind it away?
You may also find that by flexing the joint (if you can) the 2 part may not be that stonger bond to the shell.

I recently posted a similar quaestion on the 'Airline Modellers Digest' forum. Was there, I asked, a product which could dissolve an adhesive but leave the plastic intact?

I was sure I'd heard of such a substance, but the general consensus of opinion was that it didn't exist and actually, I'd dreamt it.
