Only happened once luckily but my colleague left his key in the car on top of the phone while the car was running, seems the phone blocked the key signal, car thought the car was out and locked itself running. Very rare but it has happened!!

Can someone show a picture of the key? Just so I can look for some kind of cover as I need it on a fob really. Cheers

Here’s what the genuine key covers look like.

Keys look like this

Got mine yesterday, very impressed with the drive. Sounds much better than expected. Must say coming from a golf r, the infotainment isn’t great...think I can live with it...assume the bigger screen would be better, rather than the standard Screen I have ...(has anyone upgraded from standard and noticed a difference?)

Much more of an occasion with the drive though than the golf! Thumbs up!

Another key question, are people turning off their keyless entry to reduce theft risk?

Have you all got the latest facelift version on recent deliveries? I believe the virtual cockpit is much improved

Facelift build is from some point this month so no, they won't be face-lift versions.

My Titanium EDC 300 arrived Thursday from G2L. Rides certainly jiggly but not terrible. Speed limit warning's were driving me potty and took me a while to turn the warning off, though think I've silenced my rear parking sensors too. And the menu's are terrible. Like going back 10 years. But otherwise, a cracking car.

Completely agree, and I wondered what that annoying noise was! Been driving me mad.

Loving the keyless entry. What's the real risk if the key's not near the car?

Love the look of the car too. From behind reminds me of a mini Porsche Macan. Which I quite like. Oddly.

Can someone / anyone kindly help in telling me how to switch off the speed limit warnings? The manual tells me the option is in the navigation / alerts menu somewhere. I have set the "speed limit alerts" to OFF, but still get the constant beeping.

Lease broker said my car would arrive in July, and so I guess 31/07 at about 5pm is still within July. At least I got the car, I understand from my broker that a several cars ordered through them were later cancelled as Renault couldn't provide the build slots.

I am very happy with the car so far. I have no quibbles inside or out. Other than the speed limit beeping I am unable to switch off, I don't have any concerns. I like the fact that Renault have seen fit to add the "comfort" mode as this does render the car utterly docile when I need it to be (when driving with SWMBO). My car is an unadorned RS280, however I have had some spirited drives so far and can't imagine how lairy I'd need to be to miss the LSD. Coming back on power after (say) sharp 90 degree corners at NSL speeds the car feels utterly planted. Yes, there is a little torque steer which IMO only adds to the drama. I take various reviewers points about steering feel, but the accuracy is definitely there. I don't drive enough different cars to get wierded out by the 4WS, it just works really well, and I like the fact you can feel it pivoting the car round. The Continentals fitted to the 18" Estoril standard wheels seem to suit the car as road-focused machine. The various pops and bangs from the exhaust from the (again) standard exhaust sound fruity enough without being too aggressive. The gear shift IS notchy, but is a very short throw. It is also accurate, so no real complaints. I also like that I can use the handbrake lever as a wrist-rest for gear changing. I must say I'm more impressed with the interior than I ever thought I'd be. The (standard) front seats are fantastic, as is the overall driving position. Personally, I think the carbon/chequered flag "effect" trim is perfectly fine and generally all finished to a good standard. I thought the digital dash would feel weird with its smallish size and the analogue dials at each side, but in practice it just feels really focused, which is something the various modes only amplify.

Good little write-ups, initial impressions sound encouraging.

Hoping we have an answer to turning off the audible speed warnings when mine arrives in a couple of weeks biggrin

Edit - looks like it's been cracked while I was typing laugh
