Any new Megane RS 280/300 owners?

You can actually get Android auto to use almost all the 10" screen by changing the resolution to 720p in the dev settings of android auto. There's no noticeable resolution drop (it actually makes it cleaner) and leaves only a small 1cm black bar top and bottom.

Ordered a trophy last month and got a provisional date of mid August. My 275 trophy is already away, so a few months wait until new one arrives. Ordered Silver manual with recaros, bose and camera. Also organised for the wheels to be redone in black prior to collection. I really do not like the 'red' accents on them. They do look good up close as a stand alone item, but dont feel they work in the overall package. But thats just me I guess.


I did try an EDC trophy and it did give me a concern that getting a mnaual was the wrong box, but I stuck with it. The EDC box is excellent. Shifts are sweet in full auto and when in manual they work really well. The paddles were my only concern as they did not feel 'right' being so high and only covered the top section of the wheel. I dare say you would get used to it, but it was enough to ensure i stayed with the manual.

I agree the red accents are OTT. A pretty simple fix with a wheel paint satin black spray though.

For me either black or matching them to the yellow paint would look the business.

I had thought about that as the finish on them is very good in the flesh, I had thought about just getting the red removed and gloss black done to match the other gloss black on it. Got a few months to make my mind up.

My lease order for a trophy is apparently on hold until the next model year, what does this even mean?!?

I hope not as I need the car in October for the end of the track day season. Mine is just a 280 so perhaps it's just the Trophy.

I've just had a call that mine has arrived at the dealers.. but I can't get it until a week on Saturday - not the dealers fault, just my availability. Gives me a chance to sort the insurance, I suppose.

So tempted to pull the trigger on a standard RS 280 (povvo spec!). Has anybody got an idea on the true MPG, I do roughly 20k per year so as much as I love the car, its a big consideration! For reference commute is 80% motorway, 20% A road

Difficult to say. My guess is you'll get 30mpg long term average, perhaps 32mpg if you try...

Have just got home in my Trophy. Love it! In sport mode the exhaust might be a bit much in town.. I think I upset a bunch of people at a bus stop

Post some pics too. Mine arrives in 2 weeks... was supposed to be October... must have benefited from the shortage of tango paint. Will pick up September I guess..
