6500miles for my front tyres.... what did you manage?
I think you have done alright there. Mine are close to the wear indicators after 2500 and that includes rotating the wheels.Out of interest what replacements did you go for? I feel the Bridgestone S001 are a bit of a weak link compared to the rest of the chassis.

If yours is a daily that does a decent amount of road miles throughout the year, I would opt for the Michelin PS4. They are more expensive than others but they last bloody ages and are a nice sporty tyre that retains a good amount of comfort. If it's more of a weekend car or you do a few track days, you can step up in sportiness to the Michelin PS4S or Goodyear Eagle F1 Supersport. The Goodyears wear quicker but arguably give a little more grip.
I've just changed all 4 tyres to the Bridgestone Potenza Sport, the new replacement for the S001. I was considering Pilot Sport 4S but found some good deals on the Bridgestones so held on for more reviews to come out. They reviewed really well here - https://www.tyrereviews.com/Article/2021-Tyre-Revi... so I went for them.
Best price I found for the Bridgestones was £567 at Halfords and F1 Autocentre vs £684 for MPS4S, so not a small difference.
They've only been on two weeks but I've been really impressed, I'd go so far as to say the car's come alive with them. My car came with some pretty tired S007 RSs on the front and S001s on the rear and the difference is remarkable. So much more confidence in the wet, not spinning its wheels whenever its damp and I'm amazed by the dry grip. Braking stability is transformed too. Of course I'm comparing box-fresh tyres with old worn ones but I'm really happy with them. Would recommend so far.
My local Renault dealer price matched so went with them but they've scuffed up the inside of the rim to fit the weights, made a right mess of it like they've gone at them with a bit of sandpaper! I'm not happy... Anyone had that before?

Running the ContiSport on 18s here so keeping an eye on how they wear. I'm generally pretty gentle on tyres...
Got a question about servicing if anyone knows. There was some stuff on page 10 but it doesn't really help. According to that the service is 12k or every year whatever comes first.
I have had my car around 9 months but with Covid only done 6k. However, the dashboard at 5500 flashed up service is due in 1000miles. This has dropped quickly and is now due in 200miles. Has anyone else had this? I take it I need to get it done 1000-/+miles of when it says due?
If it is going to need serviced this regularly I think I am just going to get a service plan.

Are they variable servicing? (Like BMW).I have had my car around 9 months but with Covid only done 6k. However, the dashboard at 5500 flashed up service is due in 1000miles. If not, and it's anything like my MK3 Megane 275, the service clock/tracker will have been set wrong from new. Basically it was telling me it needed a service at 1yr old (a year early).

Suppose it could be that it is set wrong the service clock/tracker? What did you do just reset it?
Forgot to say in my first post that I am loving my 300 trophy in grey, it has been a great car, except the battery anxiety! Mine is on a 3 year lease deal. It gets lots of comments about how good it looks.

Best thing to do is contact a Renault dealer and check. They reset it the first time for me (after I called them to book a service it didn't need for another year). It was subsequently not reset properly at another service so l learnt how to do it myself (I get the impression Renault mechanics aren't very good with these counters!!).
Someone on RS Megane Collective Facebook group told me how to do it.
My 300 Trophy is coming up to a year old now and just had a message on the dash that a service is due.
I can't find any official confirmation in my paperwork about the service intervals. The handbook refers to a 'service booklet' but I don't seem to have one of those.
Is it really every 12 months? I've only done 4,500 miles.

Great shots!! I was the other red RS up there at the same time - a pity we didn't know about it, as you said on Instagram, would have made a good photo!
It's absolutely brilliant up there, can't believe I've never been before. Looking forward to going back already. Shout-out to the tyre garage in Ullapool and Stornoway for happening to have stupid low-profile tyres in stock to keep me going too!

Yes it would have been great to get them side by side! Maybe next time. I've done two summer trips now which is great for the long daylight hours but I'm thinking autumn would be a great time to go. No midges, less traffic and scenery should look even more dramatic. It's absolutely brilliant up there, can't believe I've never been before. Looking forward to going back already. Did you see a blue Focus RS with the plate RS02 SPY or similar? I kept bumping (not literally) into that car everywhere!

I saw one or two Focus RS's, I seemed to be in a holding pattern with an early V8 Vantage, which made for nice company.Did you see a blue Focus RS with the plate RS02 SPY or similar? I kept bumping (not literally) into that car everywhere!
Autumn's a good shout, the endless daylight was incredible but long shadows and sunsets would be absolutely dramatic.

Does anyone know if Renault are able to collect cars for a service from your home address? Mine is due next month and I don't think I will be able to drive it due to injury. Ford did this for my Dad during Covid as he was shielding.
No reason why not, just depends on the dealer. We collect customer cars. The Rotrex Kid said:
